Objective: “Return to Castle Black to give your report on the attack at Icemark to Lord Commander Mormont.”

Take a moment though to explore the Northwestern area. You will find a frozen pond. To the East of it is a rock you can dig at as the Dog. This will get you some more silvers. Also, take a moment to head South from there as the Dog. Turn to the East as soon as you can. You will find up on a little bluff overlooking the thieves' camp. Investigate the tree there to find The Seal of Knowledge and piece of paper with the Codex Entry for “the Old Gods.”

Castle Black
As soon as Mors arrives, Lors tells you that the Lord Commander is expecting you. Time to go meet the Old Bear again. Head in through any door. They are all marked with Quest Markers. The closest one is just a little to the East.

Common Hall
Head into the Command Hall through that nearby door. Take the first door to the South and immediately turn to the right. Nearby the fireplace you will find a scroll you can pick up. It contains another “Archives of Westeros” and another Seal of Knowledge.” This on contains the codex entry, “The First Men.” After that, Return to the hallway and take the stairs up a level.

Here, head all the way South from the stairs. There you will find a barrel with a little silver inside it. Now head to the West and up there stairs. There you will find The Lord Commander. He will want to know what happened with Poddy, the last of the new Brothers that you were sent out with. Either choice gives the details.

Once everything is done there then Mormont will explain about the presence of the men with the blue tabards. They are Jon Arryn's men come to get your assistance with a matter. It alludes to a girl of grave importance to the realm. Just what and how are not explained. All you get is that Ser Godric is to be trusted but not many others can be. Mormont and Westford discuss the contents of the letter. Mors will explain things to him about what that elusive passage means. He will need to choose a response to the chastity vow, if he is doing it out of respect for his wife or respect of his vows and duty. After all that, Mormont will send Mors with Ser Godric to Mole's Town. He will also remind Mors that the Night's Watch does not interfere in politics.

Once you have spoken with the Lord Commander, look to your left. Between Mormont and his crow is some loot. Collect them for another “Westeros archive” with a “Seal of Knowldge.” This archive gives the codex entry, “Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.”

Now, head to the East and down the stairs there to quickly return to the Common Hall below. Now head to the Southern part of the wall. To the West of the pair of merchants in the Southeastern corner you will find Ser Godric. He is the one with the clock that has a Cresent Moon and a Bird. Talking with Godric you can question him on how Arryn is, pick at Jared who seems to have a grudge against you or just set into the mission.

After your talk with Godric, Mormont comes down with new on Arryn. A raven have come from Kingslanding, Jon Arryn is dead.
