Game of Thrones Walkthrough Part 55 – Alester – Blood On The Sand, Part 2
Fight 2: Ser Symon
Reward: 40 Silver Stags
Symon is a Boss in Heavy Armor. This puts your best weapon at the Blunt type. As learned from talking with Wyl, he can repair his armor. This is what you should save your interrupts for over the course of the fight. Watch out for his shield bash attack as it will momentarily stun you, it will typically come when you see the crossed swords icon above his health bar. This is also a good attack to interrupt. Keep him down or stunned to avoid him doing just that to you. You will know he is repairing his armor when you see him fiddling with his shield. While interrupting his shield bash is important, interrupting this can be the difference between winning and losing the fight. If you can keep him down on the ground the fight will go much better as well.
Before Fight 3, talk with Rupert to learn the state of the crowd and your odds. He will also turn over the money you have earned from the previous fight. Head upstairs and talk with Ossifer and Wyl. Ossifer will tell you that Bayard is your opponent. He claims that you cannot beat him and ask if you agree, giving you a way out. Talk with Wyl and bribe him for some information. 10 silver will get you that Bayard always goes for the kill given the chance. 20 silver will reveal that as well as he is very agile and likely to dodge his opponent's attacks. Be sure to also talk with Symon, who is nearby the entrance to your preparation room.
Fight 3: Bayard
Reward: 80 Silver
His brother is the one who lets you into the arena. He will offer 20 silver stags to spare his brother in this fight. It is completely up to you if you want to accept the money. This could put you at odds with the crowd. Then again, 20 silver stags is what is needed for a round of drinks.
The fight itself. He is a Boss in Light Armor. This means cutting weapons are the best overall. He has a number of attacks that will cause you to bleed. Keep this in mind and just keep interrupting those you can. This is not a very hard fight compared to the others.
After the fight, head up and talk with Ossifer again. He will tell you precious little about Alequo. Now, head over to your former opponents and talk with them. Symon rewards you and Bayard just curses at you a bit. Time to go talk with Wyl to learn something about Alequo. He does not know anything about this man, so your best bet is to talk with him directly. Be sure to buy the round of drinks before you do. You can also talk with Alequo who is in front of the bar. It will alsos yield the codex entry, “Braavos.”
The odds will be 3:1, in your favor. If you have won consistently. This seems to remain constant if you win.
