Xenoblade Chronicles Guide- Walkthrough Part 53: One More Thing...

As the party exits the area of the refugee camp, they pause in the small forest that empties out onto the Bionis Leg plains.  Reyn asks Sharla if she has any idea where Juju went.  She mentions that there are many ways the boy could have gone to get to Colony 6, but only one of them could be used by his buggy- the Raguel Bridge.

Shulk, having never been up this way, sounds confused, so Sharla explains that the bridge is nearby, and was built around the same time as when Colony 9 was founded.  After a moment’s thought, the group agree to head in that direction.

With that set, it’s time for Reyn to put his foot in his mouth, as he tells Sharla to hang back so he and Shulk can handle monsters.  Offended, Sharla objects and points out that she’s had experience as a field medic.  Rather than acting sheepish or embarrassed, Reyn opts for enthusiasm.  Much like the player is likely to be at this point, he’s very happy at the opportunity to have a medic along with him and Shulk to keep the two of them on their feet.

Meanwhile, on the nearby bridge, Juju is having a bit of trouble.  Having made it there, he has then proceeded to somehow spinout and smash his buggy into the raised area on the side of the bridge.  Not only is the front wheel of the trike hanging over empty space, but according to the boy himself, the front suspension is twisted all out of alignment.

Not having the tools or time to work on it himself, Juju opts to simply head on across the bridge and keep going towards Colony 6.

With that bit of exposition done, it’s time to go and really explore the Bionis’ Leg lower level, which is where you’ve just spent all this time.

There are two major landmarks for the areas you’ve been through already, and you’re likely to find yourself using both of them several times as you hunt around for everything you need.  Keep aware of the weather and the time of day- if it starts raining and you get into a fight, you might find yourself ambushed by one of the strange lightning-ball enemies that pop up during storms and are attracted by ether use.  You’re also going to need to keep an eye out for not only large groups of ‘pack fighter’ enemies, but the occasional big nasty where you’re not really expecting it.  There are a lot of things in this area in the 70-80 level range that you’re going to need to avoid, and a couple of things will pop up in the 30s or 60s as well.

It’s also time to get your quests on, and pull in the resources you can gain from that- as well as draw off of the several ether crystal veins that lurk about in the Leg.
