The intel that you collected over the last few missions points to a terrorist group named Raven's Rock, a small rogue cell that operates out of Russia. You and your team of Ghosts will need to get deep into Russia and discover all that you can about the group, and discover whether or not they really are the ones responsible. While you're deep behind enemy territory, HQ will have you intercepting a weapons exchange. Raven's Rock is about to get their hands on a seriously deadly piece of weaponry, and you'll have to try to stop them.
For this mission, you should bring along either the SRR or the MSR sniper rifles, depending on whether you prefer speed or power. The SRR has superior control, but lacks in raw strength. For your backup weapon, the default P90 should do very nicely. Load out with the typical array of Sensor grenades, and bring along the new Incendiary grenades as well.
As you begin the mission, you will find that the weapon that Raven's Rock is having delivered is, in fact, a missile guidance system. You will follow the trail of the guidance system to an airfield guarded by a heavy military presence. You will have to avoid conflict with the military; after all, your battle isn't with the Russian government, but with the separatists who are causing conflict within the government. You will be infiltrating the compound under the cloak of darkness. Thus, the first thing you should do is to activate your night vision goggles. Ahead of you will be a forest that sprawls on for about 200 meters before crossing a small road to the enemy base.
Ahead of you will be two enemies patrolling in the darkness. Keep low and creep past them to the left side of the forest. Once you are a safe distance away from them, you can execute the both of them with a sync shot if you'd like, but it really isn't necessary. Either way, be careful as you approach the road. Far more enemies will be patrolling here, and it's game over if you get spotted by any of them. There will be a shallow gulley between the exit of the forest and the road. Go prone and lie in the recession as the foot traffic passes by on the road. Behind them will be even more traffic, including vehicles. Let them all pass by and remain prone on the ground for a few seconds to ensure that you are clear to move ahead. When the procession is a good distance away, climb up to a crouched position and walk slowly across the road. Go prone when you get to the other side and deploy a Drone.
Fly the Drone up the hill ahead and scout the area for enemies. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the enemies at the top of the hill. Four of them will guard the checkpoint ahead. one to the left, one to the right, and two to the middle. Mark and execute all four of them at the same time. When all of the guards are down, keep crouched and climb up the hill. When you pass the checkpoint and proceed into the camp ahead, the light will begin to overwhelm your goggles. Deactivate them so that you can see better, and take cover to the left. The word "Contact" will flash across the top of your screen to let you know that there are enemies in the area ahead. Deploy your Drone again and use it to search the area ahead. The area ahead is home to a whopping eight enemies, two of whom are snipers at elevated positions. If you attack this area at all, you will have to do so a few enemies at a time.
Start with the two snipers looking down upon the rest of the battlefield. Mark both of them and order your squad to execute them simultaneously. Next, mark all four of the enemies in the middle of the area. There will be one to the left side of the area, one to the right side of the area, and two towards the middle, on the catwalks towards the back of the area. Execute all of them at the same time. This will leave you with only two more enemies left. Just use a sync shot to kill them, using the Drone to mark the targets if necessary, and proceed forward. Now that the area is cleared, rush over to the other side of the lot and group up at the white metal shutter with your squad. This will lead you to the next area of the level.
