Xenoblade Chronicles Guide- Walkthrough Part 103: The Craftsman Explorer... Guide... Sniper.... Guy.

At the revelation that Dickson has in fact met a High Entia, Reyn exclaims that he is full of surprises.  Dickson grumbles about this, calling himself ‘well-traveled’ and says that he has done a lot of traveling for the sake of the Homs.... and then gripes about living a wandering, lonely life.  Dunban laughingly tells him to quit bellyaching- he knows that Dickson travels because he likes it and it doesn’t hurt that he can make good money doing it too.  Dickson starts trying to argue, but Dunban just turns to Shulk and asks him what the plan is.

Shulk says they’ll head up the Bionis towards Prison Island.  Dunban, for some reason, chooses now to point out that the whole group could just leave the Colonies and head for somewhere to settle down where the Mechon won’t go.  Shulk simply replies that while he was fighting with Xord, he realized that the Mechon will always pursue the Homs, and running away therefore simply isn’t going to work.

With a shrug, Dunban says that if that’s the case, then he’s obliged to follow Shulk.  The young blond is surprised- Dunban asks if Shulk is worried about him, but shulk disagrees, asserting that Dunban is ‘stronger than anything’.  Reyn agrees with him, and Dunban admits that he’s recovered a lot of his strength since last meeting Shulk.  He also hefts his sword, saying that Dunban made it specially for him (although it supposedly cost quite a bit of money on Dunban’s part).  Apparently it’s good enough to cut steel, and he can use it to cleave Mechon as well.  The swordsman admits that he’s not at his best, but is still doing well.  He and Shulk engage in some mutual appreciation, as Dickson grumbles over being called miserly- and says that the sword, being made of Mechon, is worth the price- a comment Dunban’s apparently had to hear more than a few times.

Moving on, Dickson says that the group is going to need a guide.  Dunban points out that as they’re near the bottom of the Mechon and want to reach the top, ‘up’ is probably a good direction to follow.

Dickson agrees with this, but asserts that the group is going to need to head up the lower back- on the other side of the Mechon from the leg which they are still on.  Shulk considers about this- and Dickson explains that Colony 6 is at the top of the leg, so in order to get to the lower back, they’ll need to circle the waist of the Bionis and pass through Satorl Marsh.
