Darksiders 2 Walkthrough Part 28 – To Move a Mountain, Part 7
Head on down the bridge and up the stairs to the area above. If you are low on potions now is the time to head back to Tri-Stone and restock. This is not a fight to begin without something to refill your health. It is time for a big fight: Construct Hulk
Construct Hulk
First thing is first, keep on your feet and be ready to dodge this fellow. It has a pair of wide area attacks and loves to use its pound attack. The shockwave from this attack will travel along the ground covering most of the arena. The only real way to dodge it is to jump over the wave as it approaches Death. It is just this attack that you want it to use though. This will cause a number of Shadow Bombs to fall from the ceiling above and land on the floor. Run over to one and throw it onto the Construct Hulk. This will expose its tainted core that Death must then pummel with his best attacks. Unfortunately this also calls a trio of Construct Warriors up as well. This means you must remain aware of them as you battle the Hulk and inflict damage on it. This can pose a dilemma as they can be a danger but they go down very quickly as well. Start with area attacks then focus in on the core on the Constructs have gone down. Once the core has retreated back into the Hulk's body, immediately start dodging out of there to the sides. The Hulk unleashes a barrage of moving pound attacks that can nearly (or completely) defeat Death if he is in the way. If you are caught in them and escape, heal immediately afterward.
As the fight wears on and the Hulk takes more damage it will use its pound attacks more and more. It becomes more important to target the Hulk itself to evade it properly and not one of the Construct Adjuncts or Warriors. Once it is below half health worry about the Warriors and Adjuncts after the core has retreated back into the body. If Death fills his Reaper Gauge and the Hulk has a quarter Health or less, transform and tear into it with a vengeance. It will not be long for the Forge Lands at that point.
Once the fight is complete, ascend the final set of stairs and look to either side of them. There are 4 chests to claim before you talk to the Construct Warden there. Open them all then use the Maker's Key on the Warden there. Talking with it Death can learn about its slumber and the Ruins he stands in, but the Warden cannot remember the name of it.
After their conversation the Warden will take Death back to Tri-Stone. It may be ponderous but it is faster than travel on even Despair. Do take a moment to return to the Lost Temple and head straight on through to the West. Behind where the Warden slept is one more chest with some very good stuff. Climb it then head into Tri-Stone and talk with Eideard.
