Tomb Raider Walkthrough Part 16 – Cry For Help (Mountain Base to Comm Tower)
Head over to the West and to the nearby Zipline that runs over to the Tower. Head over to it and jump onto then shimmy your way up the line to the Tower itself. Head over to the ladder on the right. Lara will automatically start to climb it in a cutscene. Press up to get her to the top of the first ladder. After that is another cutscene break with her moving over to the second ladder in the set. This leads up to the third and final ladder. Just continue hitting up to get her to climb.
At the top of this ladder you need to get Lara to stretch and reach for the final part of the ladder. This will get her up to the top of the tower. Here she will be able to access maintenance panel she is after. Now slowly move through the channels until you find the Emergency Broadcast channel. At this point you will be prompted to hit a button. Do just that and then adjust the squelch much the same way. Once you have a clear transmission hit the prompted button to begin broadcasting the SOS from the tower. After a short cutscene it seems help will be on its way soon enough.
Now jump up onto the nearby Zipline and ride it on down to the base. Head over to the right and run on down the hill. From there head over to the right and into the decaying structure there. Inside, on the table you will find a Fire Striker, a tool allowing Lara to start a fire just about anywhere. A great step forward from what she previously had. Now head over to the fuel tanks that sit opposite the structure. Go over to the valve on the left and pry it open with the Climbing Axe. After that Lara will automatically light her torch. Head over to the large part of the gas puddle that forms and light it.
A cutscene runs after that where the Rescue Plane gets struck down by a localized storm that appeared to form very quickly and accurately. This means that the plane is now crashing down on top of Lara Croft. Now you just need to slide down this slope, dodging sharp objects that will skewer Lara otherwise. She can take some hits but too many will kill her.
At the end of this sequence Lara will almost go over the edge of the platform. She just grabs on so immediately hit the prompted button to stop her from losing her grip. Just as she gets onto the platform and things look like they are getting better, the rest of the plane is coming down on her. Immediately run and jump to the right to avoid getting killed. Just as she recovers from this ordeal she will see the pilot floating down on his parachute. She needs to go and rescue him as quickly as possible before the Solarii can find him.
