Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty Walkthrough Part 6 – Sidequests: Wurmwater (Part 1)

Message In A Bottle
As you enter Wurmwater head over to the South and East. You will find a collection of Pirates, Corsairs and Powder Monkeys to deal with. Fight through them all and over to the Eastern edge of the area. You will see the yellow side quest exclamation point none too far up the cliff in this area.

To get up onto the rocks just look around for a rock that is on your level but slightly sloped. Get onto it and climb up it. From there just jump up onto the ledge. Look around for the palm tree overhanging the canyon below. Head on out onto it. Move carefully and you can reach the bottle before falling. Grab it and the search area for the next bit of treasure will be revealed.

Head to the East from the North end of the pirate encampment and then loop down to the South. You will find a path just after going up the slope and want to follow that. You are looking for the area, “Hegeland Camp”. Once you find it head on in.

Inside this are you will find a new enemy archetype: Swabbie. These are the Psycho Midgets of this group. Handle them as such. There are not too many pirates in this general area. The real danger lying just beyond them: Worms. Once through the camp you will find 4 Sand Worms waiting for you. Gun them down then it is time to start searching for your “X”. Be sure to take some time to find the various loot chest in the area as well.

Finding the “X” is somewhat tricky and very easily overlooked. It is a black “X” spray painted on the ground. First, find the 2 crossed anchors. Look to the dirt in the Southwestern area, beyond the cracked ground. You will find the “X” on the dirt patch before the Southern wall.

This yields a unique shield “Captain Blade's Manly Man Shield”. Just be wary of the “Curse of the Elementals!” as you take increased elemental damage. However, the “What a fabulous window treatment” gives a bonus to melee attacks in the form of explosive damage.
