Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty Walkthrough Part 23 – X Marks The Spot: Roscoe

Get down from the top of the lighthouse however you want. Whenever you leave it properly you will be contacted by Scarlett. At first it sounds like she will be throwing you through the entrance of the path to the treasure first. Instead she sends 2 waves of Scarlett Corsairs after you. Just take them on as they are not exactly the hardest things to kill. Make your way through and over to the One-Way Fast travel station and head for Wurmwater.

As you get close to the Fast-Travel station you will find 2 of Scarlett's Lieutenants waiting for you: White and Hoffman. They are not much harder, but they seem a bit hardier than the rest. Just lay into them with Shock then fire-type weaponry to tear through their shields and kill them quickly. When you finish killing them Shade will contact you and let you know that Scarlett is heading for the bright light that has appeared in Wurmwater. Hit the Fast-Travel Station and head out there yourself.

When you arrive you get a transmission from Scarlett telling you something. Get to a Catch-A-Ride then head for the marker in the Southwestern part of Wurmawater, near Riptide Point. Head for the marker and the Leviathan will make its appearance and swallow you up. Head into the Lair Of The Leviathan to continue.

Just inside you will find some Vending Machines if you need to clear out some inventory. Head to the North after that and drop down the gap. When you arrive you are in for a boss fight.

Roscoe
That is one massive Rakkhive Skag. This thing is thankfully very slow and lumbering. The bad news is there are a number of acid pools around that you can very easily wander into. As Roscoe is a fleshy creature, turning some Slag then Fire damage on him is a great way to get through the fight in a hurry. Otherwise you will want to circle the chamber carefully. Use a weapon with good spread if the Rakks are giving you trouble. However, though the majority of the fight keep your focus on Roscoe and you  can take him down without much trouble.

When you defeat him Scarlett will vanish away some distance. She will leave behind her pistol. You can either ignore it or grab it (and why would you not grab it?). After you have the pistol head to the North up the slope and deeper into the Leviathan.

Scarlett's Pistol: Boon: You take no movement penalty for aiming down the sights.
