Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 36 – D6
Head on off the train and listen to the speech that Miller has to give. When he is done, head over to the right-hand side of the platform and look around. Look for a desk as on it is the first note for the chapter. After that advance to the barricade that has been erected by the massive doors.
Wait for the train to ram into the platform. From there you can open fire on the Red Line soldiers that are coming through. Kill who you can and just keep at it until you get knocked down. When that happens Artyom needs a minute to recover. One of the other Rangers will grab him and start dragging him back. You can fire on the soldiers coming at you during this time with your present weapon.
When the man tries to pull Artyom up he goes down. Get up to the barricade and do what you can keep sheltered until either you heal or use a medkit. Just fight here until the lull. Things get calm for a short while. Head over to the ammo stash and grab the Sniper Rifle or something else you can get some precise hits with.
Time to deal with the tank. First, aim for the red bar you see on the side of the tank. It runs from the front to rear wheels. Shoot it off quickly. After that shoot off the wheels by aiming for the spokes. From there you can quickly get the gunner on top of the tank who is manning the turret. After that just take out any remaining soldiers on the tank. That will quickly end the fight. You do not have too long to complete it so be ready and aim carefully.
This will get the Red Line to begin their retreat. Follow the other rangers to the very back of the platform. You will see a minigun in front of you that Artyom can use. Turn around and look along the back wall quickly. Go over to the right and search the ammo crates to find the final Note. It is just in front of the ammo cache.
To get things going, use the iron sights to get the Minigun spun up. This will let you immediately start firing. Just use it for as long as you can to take down the various soldiers. Eventually the barricade will explode. This will signal the next part of the fight starting.
The Reds are now advancing behind shields. Time to bring out the Sniper Rifle. You want precision and zoom. To deal with these folks you either want to shoot them through the visor slit in their shields or hurl dynamite at their feet or just behind them. They are just the shield. What you need to worry about is the person with the Flamethrower behind them. Each time you take one out, especially in the center, you can get a shot or two in on him. Aim for either the helmet or the tank on his back. Ideally you will get one of each shot. This will take him down, kill most of the Riot Shield Red Liners and cause them to scatter.
Miller has some things to say then something comes and ruins the party. Artyom will make a final act. This is the ending. Congratulations on beating Metro: Last Light!
