Borderlands 2 Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt Walkthrough Part 2 –  Professor Nakayama, I Presume? (Part 1)

Time to head for Scylla's Grove and see what is going on over there. Head on over to the West from the Hunter's Lodge. Go on through the cave and then bear to the Northwest to get to the entrance. Once inside go on over to the East and grab a Fan boat from the Catch-A-Boat. With that head over to the Northeast and pass by the raised island with the bridge going to the North. Just past that is the cave you are looking for. Sir Hammerlock will tell you some about the creature: it is heavily armored and you need to wary of its tail. This creature is called Thermitage. Head into the cave.

You have a number of Scaylions to deal with before you can make it deep enough. They are all armored so corrosive weaponry is your best friend. This will help you get through to the deeper parts of the cave.

When you make it  to the search area you have a number of other foes to deal with. This can take the form of Knight Scaylions or Broodmothers. The Knights and Broodmothers are armored, mandating the use of corrosive weaponry. The minions, on the other hand, are flesh and blood. Once you clear the area then you will encounter Thermitage.

Thermitage
This Scaylion loves to charge you and engage in closer range. When it rushes the Vault Hunter it will usually unleash a quick and devastating flurry of melee attacks. It will usually follow that up with a burst that seems to do some acid damage. The problem is not the damage the acid does but the blindness that accompanies it. It will cycle through these attacks until you kill it.

After you kill Thermitage Nakayama will contact the Vault Hunter and Hammerlock again. He really wants you to take him on and interfere with his plans. Time to go and find out what is going on in the Savage's Village on the other side of the grove. Go on up the slope and around to the path that quickly leads to the entrance of the cave. There is also a big loot container on the right so keep it in mind. It sits close to the ledge you need to hop down. Leave the cave, grab your fan boat and turn to the South.
