Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon's Keep Walkthrough Sidequests Part 9 – Mines of Avarice (Part 2)

The Claptrap's Apprentice
Accept this quest from Claptrap then follow him through the mines from his position nearby Wizard's Crossing. Follow him to the South and West toward the outshoot there. There you will see him attempt some magic (summoning an Archdemon). But this is Caltrap so it is not too likely to pan out.

Destroy the Brooms:
The fact that he summons a broom, then a second, then there are 4 of them. He decides to work on a counter-spell. In the mean time he wants you to start destroying them. Begin shooting them. There are the initial 4 but if you get through those more will appear to take their place. This could be a problem. Just keep shredding them until Claptrap is ready with the counter-spell.

Destroy the Burning Brooms:
He, once again, invokes the power of his wand and beard to burn away the brooms. This leads to Burning Brooms attacking you.  Stop using any fire weapons and change over to something else. Blast them away as they are still not too bad to deal with. Claptrap's new idea is to now shrink them down to a small size. Why is that worrisome?

Destroy the Giant Burning Brooms.
Claptrap's idea goes belly up, the brooms are on fire and they are Giant now. They are not much tougher so just keep at them with whatever you were previously using. It makes things a lot easier. Claptrap decides to try another spell and one he wants to fail: to summon badass clones.

Destroy the Badass Giant Burning Brooms:
Fight on through the brooms which are now like a weak boss fight. Good Area of Effects are very handy (as long as they are not fire-type). Fight on through a wave or so and then Claptrap will try another spell: this time targeting you.

Instead of turning you into something more badass, you are slowed. Unlike the normal times it does not wear off with the spider webbing's disappearance. You need to keep fighting on through the brooms until Claptrap get the next spell off which undoes that last one. Finish off any remaining brooms then this quest will finally come to an end.
