There are three major quirks that make fighting Sigdis difficult.
First of all, Sigdis wields the Gauldur Blackbow, a weapon that drains 20 Magicka every time it hits you. This makes this battle particualrly frustrating for mages, who will find their ability to fight at a distance- or use Magicka at all- badly hampered.
The second issue is that Sigdis randomly teleports between the two circular platforms and the one against the grating, meaning that melee combatants will wind up running all over the place chasing him down from platform to platform while he pelts them with arrows.
The third issue is that Sigdis summons Illusionary Duplicates, who mimic his own behavior perfectly. These duplicates deal less damage than Sigdis does, but they occupy the other two locations that he can teleport to and while they don't drain Magicka they can't really be fully ignored. They also are recreated by Sigdis every time you destroy them, and destroying both duplicates prompts him to teleport around more often, much as damaging him does.
On the upside, Sigdis has some issues that ease the burden a bit.
The Illusionary Duplicates aren't perfect- neither of them have horns on their helmets, they both glow considerably more than Sigdis does, and they deal relatively little damage.
Sigdis foregoes attacking every time he swaps himself and the duplicates around or replaces the duplicates.
Finally, none of them- Sigdis or his copies- are especially good at spotting hidden characters.
