The Last Of Us Walkthrough Part 60 – Chapter 9: Lakeside Resort (Ellie Leaves The Hideout to Beach Resort)

Ellie is awoken by Survivors prowling around where she and the recovering Joel are hiding. One of them makes a grab for Ellie as she is working to lure them away from the garage. Stab the fellow who did this then start sprint over to the left. There are Survivors on each side of the street.

Head over to the right of the truck as you come up on it. Just keep a good gallop going and stay away from the Survivors. If one grabs on then mash “Square” to get Ellie to kick them off. Just keep moving and choose your route according to the people in front of you. Keep to the left of the semi, keep the horse galloping and keep to the left of the rocks. After that, look for a pair of buildings at the bottom of the slope ahead on the right. Ride between them and keep moving. After that go over to the right and stay there until Callus is shot. Ellie goes tumbling down after that. Immediately make for the cabin ahead and enter it through one of the back windows, preferably the one of the left.

Once inside on the left-hand side of the cabin, check the desk for some Items. Take a little time to search it as the Survivors will not immediately chase after you. You can find a few Crafting Items and likely some ammo as well. After that cut straight on through the cabin, using the door ahead. Go on out the front door and duck over the railing to the left. Wait for the Survivor to head into the cabin and for him and his comrade to come out of it.

Go to the right from there and into the gazebo. You will find a Firefly pendant sitting on one of the benches there to grab. After that make your way down to the shore and keep to the cover to slip by more the Survivors. Use Listen Mode to track them as you make your way along the left to the Snack Shack near the edge of the water.

Make for the steps from the Snack Bar. Be careful as 2 more enemies appear after that. Listen to them and watch where they go. If you are a good shot with the bow, then lob a bottle or brick behind them and quickly pick them off after that. Be sure to loot the bodies as this can get Ellie a Shotgun. This is optional but you are sometimes better off just letting them pass you and head toward the stairs. After that start on up the stairs.

These stairs should have a sign by them reading “Whitefish Lake”. Hide behind it as more Survivors pass you by. Get to the top and head over to the left as Ellie cannot reach the top of the wall on her own. Sidle along the side then hang against the wall to the ledge. Drop down and keep going forward. Look for a pipe on the right  Duck into it and go on through. On the other side, head on up the stairs to the left of the pipe and go over to the far bench. You will find a comic on it. Grab it then turn around. Head on down the stairs and over to the red pipe you see on the right.

Do not immediately go in the pipe. Instead go to the left of it and look for the crate blocking it off. Grab it and pull it forward. Now head for the pipe's entrance. Once again crouch through it and get on through.
