HearthStone: Top 5 Worst Free Cards!

If you're a new player, you may be wondering which cards to avoid at all cost! Here we take a look together at the 5 worst basic cards of the game. Cards that you should not have in your deck because they are really poor and won't help you to win!

The TOP 5 worst free cards!

• 5 - Stonetusk Boar

A 1/1 charge for 1 mana. You might think that this card is the little cousin of the Bluegill Warrior or the Wolfrider, but the fact is that this creature is far too weak to have any real use. It can only trade with creatures that have one health point and is sure to die. If you want to deal one mana point, go for the Elven Archer which deals one damage point but without trading, so without dying! (However the boar can still find a place in the Hunter deck because it's a beast)

• 4 - Core Hound

One of the most expensive free creatures! It has a lot of attack points, but 5 health points for 7 mana, making it far too vulnerable at this stage in the game. The fact that it also has a lot of attack points will make it the number one target on the table and it probably won't have time to attack more than once. If the aim is to control for a turn, it would be better to use a less expensive creature with a taunt! (Once again, you can still put this card in a Hunter deck because it is a beast)

• 3 - Ironforge Rifleman

The battlecry of this creature is too weak in relation to its cost. 1 damage point dealt to any target may seem interesting, but you have paid 3 mana for a 2/2 creature, some very weak stats that aren't even worthy of a decent turn 2. You won't be making the most of your mana at all by playing this creature, because your opponent could play a turn 3 which could trade with the Rifleman without dying, which isn't at all viable.

• 2 - Frostwolf Grunt

A little taunt for 2 mana. The problem is that it will be attacked by all the turn 2s (2/3), making it very very weak. Also the taunt is useless since almost any creature can kill the Frostwolf Grunt without a problem. There are much better turn 2s in the game so you can ignore this one.

• 1 - Magma Rager

Wow, 5 attack points! Wow 1 health point. A totally useless creature because in turn 3, practically all players will be able to deal 1 damage point, meaning that you will have just wasted 3 mana. A card that should simply be avoided.
