Najin White Shield banned Jayce and Ryze at the start; they were targeting OMG’s play makers. They also stacked three assassins and a shield, telegraphing a big early push. OMG claimed Ahri and braced themselves.

The Game:

The match began with a big group fight. San downed GorillA at 1:51, claiming First Blood. The kill gave San a major experience boost in the early game. Ggoong killed Loveling at 3:19 and picked up a buff. Najin White Shield killed a dragon at 12:59, giving them a massive gold advantage–18.3k to 17.2k. Watch died at 14:30, 1-2 OMG.

OMG found themselves in great ward cover going into the mid game, which became an advatage in the moments before the second dragon spawned. Both teams wanted to pull off a kill before the dragon, but no one fell for traps. Najin White Shield took the dragon at 19:47. Cool died at 19:59, and Zefa overtook the mid turret at 20:00. Ggoong fell at 21:00 in an exchange, followed shortly by Save, 2-4 OMG. Gogoing dodged a big attack around 22:30, denying an experience gain for NWS. NWS, however, took a tower in the meantime. San pushed the jungle at 24:00, filling OMG’s gold defecit.

But OMG was not out of the woods yet.

They overtook a blue tower at 25:30, but they lost Cloud in the process. Gogoing fell at 26:00, and at that, NWS reduced OMG’s lead to 4-5. NWS killed another dragon at 26:21 and picked up a blue buff. Their forces overrun a bottom turret at 28:00.

At this point, Najin White Shield appeared to be in control of the tempo and the playing field. But Zefa’s item build looked questionable, and his misstep began to spell trouble for NWS.

OMG killed the Baron at 29:10, and they picked up a red buff at 31:40. Save died at 32:30, followed shortly by Ggoong. OMG took a mid turret, ganked GorillA at 33:20, and killed a dragon at 33:46.

The Korean-filled auditorium exploded in favor of the Chinese underdogs. OMG was beginning to pull ahead.

They broke even with NWS’s total gold production at about 35:00. An exchange ended in a 4-8 lead for OMG, putting Gogoing in great position to rule the field. OMG pushed an inhibitor at 35:50, but they were pushed back. NWS made an attempt at the Baron, Gogoing sacrificed himself at 36:45, and OMG pushed NWS back into their own territory. NWS attempted a second run at the Baron, and OMG bided their time, overtaking NWS in gold for the first time. Gogoing killed Save at 40:38, and Loveling killed Zefa at 41:21. OMG downed the Baron at 41:21, extending their gold lead to over 4k. NWS’ middle inhibitor fell at 42:30; OMG placed wards around NWS’s base. Save downed OMG’s top turret at 42:45, but it was too little too late. OMG overtook the bottom turret at 43:00 with little opposition. The crowd cheered. San was unstoppable. They took another inhibitor around 44:00 and destoryed the Nexus at 44:13.

And the stadium erupted.

Najin White Shield adjusted heavily to OMG’s uses of Irelia and Lee Sin, banning them right off the bat. But OMG picked up Ryze and Jayce, giving them a solid advantage going into the match.

Najin White Shield had their work cut out for them.

The Game:

With the crowd at their backs, OMG looked confident going into their second match.

NWS swapped Corki early for the top lane, a smart move given OMG’s roster. Gogoing pushed the jungle with Ryze, stacking early experience and gold. OMG downed a bottom turret at 4:35. Their jungling began to pay off, giving them a slight gold advantage. A double team on Gogoing at 7:00 proved fruitless, a risk that ultimately set Ggoong at a gold disadvantage. Cool gained a blue buff at 7:35, and NWS began putting pressure on the dragon. Loveling killed GorillA, Ggiong killed Cloud, and San killed Save at 8:40. OMG killed the dragon at 8:59, increasing their gold advantage.

They now had a stable, definitive lead over the Koreans. They had gold advantage, a tower, a dragon, and two kills. That, coupled with great ward placement, was enough to secure them in a dominant position going into the mid game.

San destroyed a red turret at 11:20, and Gogoing killed Ggoong at 12:05. With control of the middle, they began to push. NWS met them in the middle lane and almost downed Gogoing. OMG took a blue buff, and NWS began to backpeddle. Save and Cloud killed each other, and gogoing got a double kill in a 2-1 exchange at 14:00. OMG killed another dragon. San fell at 19:10, and Watch pulled off a double kill. OMG downed another middle turret. San killed Zefa and Gorilla at 21:30, and the crowd began to cheer again. Gogoing claimed the mid turret at 21:50. OMG took yet another dragon at 22:09. 10-4 OMG with a 7k gold advantage.

OMG was out for blood. Ggoong fell at 23:30, and NWS was shut down. San hit a killing spree shortly thereafter; NWS was feeding the AD Carry. 13-5 OMG.

A big bottom engagement at 26:00 ended in OMG’s favor, pushing NWS back yet again. They were shutting NWS down at will. OMG claimed another dragon at 28:30 amid NWS players. Save fell at 29:35, and San became godlike. OMG now held a 15k gold advantage over NWS.

Zefa gained a blue buff at 30:20, but it was too little too late. Save died and San gained a double kill at 31:45. OMG took the mid inhibitor turret and the inhibitor at 32:00. Watch rallied, stealing the Baron from OMG at 32:30, but it just wasn’t enough. Cool downed a turret at 34:30, and OMG killed another dragon, their fifth, at 34:59. 20-6 OMG with an almost 15k gold advantage.

OMG pushed the middle inhibitor again at 37:50, while NWS pursued the Baron again. OMG took the inhibitor at 40:15, killed a dragon at 41:13, and took the top inhibitor at 43:08. The red inhibitor respawned at 44:18, but it wasn’t enough to stop the onslaught. San took another inhibitor at 46:00, and Loveling went on a killing spree at 46:39, resulting in an ace. The Nexus fell at 47:06 witha final score of 26-6. OMG was unstoppable.

Gogoing played the game of his life in Game 3.

OMG:

Gogoing: Ryze

San: Corki

Cloud: Janna

San’s dominant play in game two prompted NWS to ban Lucien in game three. Jayce was gone once again. Gogoing picked Ryze again, Loveling stole Corky from NWS, and Watch picked up Lee Sin. Save chose Maokai, who was banned in the other games. All things consided, NWS’s line up looked pretty good for the most part. If they could shut down Gogoing’s Ryze in the early game, then they could stand a chance of winning the round.

They didn’t shut him down. They couldn’t stop him.

The Game:

Gogoing killed save at 3:00, gaining a massive advantage. The kill allowed him to tier, allowing him to stack his experience for later. Cloud continued to be a key player, appearing to be everywhere at once. GorillA killed Gogoing at 4:40, evening the score to 1-1. A big battle at 7:00 ended with NWS pushing OMG deep back into their own territory. Watch picked up a red buff, and OMG picked up a blue buff at 9:00. NWS killed a dragon at 9:49. Cool defeated Ggoong at 10:25, putting minion pressure on the mid turret. Gogoing killed Ggoong again at 12:10, rendering Ggoong useless. Gogoing killed Watch at 12:50; Ryze now had three kills and an unmatcheable experience advantage.

Zefa downed a middle turret at 13:45. Cool assisted with a turret at 15:30, and NWS began to clear wards along the River. A dragon dispute erupted around 16:00, ending in a victory for NWS. Gogoing trapped Save, but Save was a trap in himself; two other champions lay waiting for him. Unable to escape, his Ryze died at 17:20.

Cool and Save killed each other at 21:40. Cloud died at 22:04. By 24:00, Gogoing was on a killing spree. He claimed a rampage at 24:20. OMG defeated a dragon at 24:34 and a turret at 26:06. Save’s poor item selection began to hurt his team. Cool killed Watch at 26:29.

OMG was controlling NWS. They were splitting them, managing side lines, and winning team fights at will.

Zefa shut down Gogoing at 27:19, but Cool claimed his head at 28:05. Cool fell, san died,Ggoong departed at 28:41, and Watch deceased at 28:58. They were followed by GorillA a couple seconds later. 8-14 OMG. Gogoing was on fire, making calls and getting kills.

NWS pursued the Baron, but OMG blocked them. OMG then tried for the Baron, but NWS fought them off. NWS made a second attempt at the Baron and failed. They made a third attempt, and they paid for it. Gogoing achieved a double kill, Loveling pulled off an Ace, and OMG claimed the Baron.

From there, OMG pushed NWS’s base. They downed the mid turret and inhibitor at 36:42, followed shortly by the bottom turret and inhibitor. Gogoing and Loveling leveled the field and the Nexus fell at 40:52 witha final score of 10-24. OMG, against all odds, had defeated Najin Shite Shield in a clean sweep 3-0.

SUMMARY

Uzi has his work cut out for him.

Although they played very well, Najin White Shield was not enough for OMG. OMG’s late substitution of Cloud for dada777 was a major factor in the final score, and it may give OMG an edge in upcoming matches. Gogoing played incredibly as Ryze, and San’s Lucien was his strongest play in the tournament so far.

OMG will face off against Star Horn Royal Club on Sunday at 4:15AM EST in a match that will decide the second spot in the finals. Star Horn Royal Club, the season 3 runner up, has lost twice already to OMG in best of five matches this year. It should be an exciting match.
