Firefall
If you are one of the lucky few that gets to participate in Firefall’s closed beta, you have probably stumbled across colorful, floating symbols. Those are boosts that give you an advantage against all bandits, insects and robots that roam the sci-fi online world. Since powerups spawn randomly, it is hard to tell when they will pop up - although killing lots of mobs and opening loot chests definitely increases the chance. To pick them up, simply walk over them. Keep in mind that the bigger the symbol, the bigger the bonus. So far, the following powerups have been added to the free-to-play MMORPG:
