Armored Warfare: Guide to the PvE Battle Mode

As we mentioned in our test of the game, Armored Warfare includes some pretty cool PvE missions. The free-to-play tank game gives players the chance to accept contracts to team up with others and complete missions.

After giving Armored Warfare a positive review, we wanted to give players a short guide on how to survive in the PvE missions that we praised, considering that there are going to be a whole load of new players after the open beta release. Read on if you want a run-down of the PvE mode, and how to get the most out of your battles.

Starting the Battle

Entering the battle works in pretty much the same way as a PvP battle. Simply select your tank of choice, and click the mission button either with or without a platoon of buddies. At the moment, most of the missions have a number of requirements; most missions, for example, need to have various specific classes before it can be started. This ensures that the games are balanced, and that the team has the right equipment for the job.

Choosing a Difficulty

We all know that charging into a game with the difficulty set up high is a great way to have fun, but with Armored Warfare you need to be a bit more careful. Whenever you play PvE, you’ll be playing with other human players on your team, and the enemies can actually be quite challenging, so make sure to start on the easy mode if you’re new to the game. There are rumors of an “Insane” difficulty mode being released in the future, designed for only the most skilled of tank captains.

• Easy: This is where you want to start to practice a certain type of tank, or to just learn the game and get used to how the battles work.
• Medium: This is the standard difficulty level which is perfect for players that already have some experience with the game.
• Hard: This gamemode is actually surprisingly difficult. It should only really be attempted if you have played a lot of PvE and have some good vehicles to take with you on your mission.

Mission Gameplay

When you jump into your first mission, you’ll have a primary, and a secondary objective to complete. The primary objective is the one that needs completing in order to finish the missions, whereas the secondary objective is there to boost the rewards that your group gets from completing a mission. The secondary objectives usually have a time limit on them, so it’s important to work together as a team to get all of the objectives done. There are a variety of different objective types, ranging from area capture to the destruction of certain enemies, but they are all displayed near the map so you can keep track of them.
