As with any FPS, it’s not always obvious what class will fit your playstyle, especially if the classes have particularly generic sounding names. Warface is a free-to-play FPS that players are flocking to, and we are here to help out any new players that want a little guidance in which is the perfect class for them. So without further ado, let’s jump right in with some class descriptions.
The Rifleman is the backbone of any Warface fighting force. It is a very well-balanced all-round combat class that can handle any situation. These guys provide the core firepower that their team needs to advance and overcome the enemy. They have a few unique features that make them vital to every Warface unit:
These soldiers are vital as they can resupply the ammo for their fellow combatants, which is important in the co-op missions which can last a while. Tactics-wise, the Rifleman can engage from afar while closing in on their opponents, and finally overcoming the enemy with the steady flow of firepower from their resupply ammo ability.
The Medic is mainly a support role, that excels in keeping their allies alive using their unique Medkit. Medics have the ability to revive fallen allies using a defibrillator. In terms of combat, they have a shotgun to deal with any enemies that get too close for comfort. Like the Rifleman, they have their own set of unique attributes:
Players that prefer a support style class will feel at home playing the medic, contributing a vital role the team as a whole.
Anyone familiar with FPS games will know this guy’s job. The Sniper acts as an unseen deadly force on the battlefield, demoralizing and spotting enemy combatants for their allies. In Warface, the Sniper needs to find a concealed location to pick off enemies with their high powered rifle. The weakness of this class is that the sniper can’t handle close range combat very easily, so you need to stay back if you want to succeed.
The Sniper is for people that like to hide in the shadows and deliver deadly shots to the enemy team. This class is perfect for a player that prefers to be a lone hunter.
These guys have three roles in each battle; they can lay explosives to set traps, repair damages armor for their team, and plant and defuse bombs much faster than any other class. Engineers are also more of a support class, but with more combat potential. They have directional proximity mines to stop enemies in their tracks, particularly good on street corners or in doorways.
Engineer is a class for people who like to support their team, but also want to get a bit of the action themselves. They can fight in medium to short range battles with their SMG, but they excel in laying traps for enemies.
