It’s that time of the year when we jump from one holiday to the next. The massive Halloween event just ended in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, but here’s the next bigger update already. Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, the guys and girls over at Electronic Arts have added an appropriately themed event that will make you thankful about owning a mobile device. Until December 1st, 2015, players have the chance to win various special rewards. Everyone who finds all Easter Eggs during the event will also receive an extra prize. Luckily, you have us to guide you through Thanksgiving in The Simpsons: Tapped Out.
The main theme of the event is Gobble, Gobble, Toil and Trouble. Everyone knows that turkeys are to Thanksgiving what Santa Claus is to Christmas. It is without surprise that the gobbling bird is the main star of the update. The number one question is obviously how to best prepare a turkey for Thanksgiving. Luckily, Homer is there to judge.
If you hurry up and complete all quests before December 1st, you will have a chance to win all rewards in the event.
Reward Number 1: Animation for Homer (send him on a vision quest and collect 20 drumsticks)
Reward Number 2: The Vast Waistband Building (make Ghost Homer give Real Homer a Heimlich and collect 80 drumsticks)
Reward Number 3: Decoration
Reward Number 4: Decoration
Reward Number 5: King Size Outfit for Homer
You can collect drumsticks by keeping an eye out for birds in your city. Simply tap the birds and collect the drumsticks.
If you manage to find all Easter Eggs in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, you can unlock the Thanksgiving Cornucopia, which was already available last year. This item gives you a 0.5% bonus on cash and XP. You need to complete three tasks to receive this reward.
Simply send any of the characters on the missions depicted above.
As always, players will find a lot of premium content in the in-game store, which they can purchase with donuts. There’s Caesar’s Pow-Wow Casino, Piggly’s Super Smorg, and the Heimlich Machine, among many other nifty things.
