As ever with a The Simpsons: Tapped Out update, there’s a series of quests that start the event. For this latest free event, the story starts with Homer. He has three tasks, which launch the in-game event menu showing the prizes and new items available in the store. This year there are loads of items to collect, along with some that require players to use the special event currency, which are Santa Hats, Bows and Ornaments. Check out the basic winter guide from the game below.
One of the main currencies this Christmas are Santa Hats. These hats are earned in a variety of ways, but the most common is by tapping on the Merry Makers as they wander around the town. Each time that a Merry Maker is tapped, 3 hats pop out. Other ways that the hats can be earned are through the Daily Play Combo and also by completing the main Christmas questline, where 100 hats are rewarded for each part completed.
There’s never an event in Tapped Out without some kind of neighbor interactions happening. For this year’s Christmas celebrations, players are encouraged to be either naughty or nice to their friends in order to be rewarded with bows. The naughty option is keeping the rewards all to yourself, while the nice one is sharing the love with their friends. The bows that are earned can be used to craft some exclusive Christmas items. Check them out below.
