Blaze

Blaze (Innate): Brand's spells light his targets ablaze, dealing 2% of their maximum health as magic damage per second for 4 seconds, for a total of 8%. Monsters take a maximum of 80 damage per second from Blaze.

This is a passive that does a lot of magic damage over time that is just as good in the lane phase as in teamfights.

If your target has little magic resistance it will take huge damages.

The effects of Brand's spell are modified on targets affected by his passive.

The passive does not stack, its duration is not reset.

The damage depends on the maximum HP, in the meta game with 4000 HP that does quite a bit of damage! 8% of the max HP, or 320 magic damage over 4 seconds.

The passive applies Rylai's slow at 15% as DoT which lasts 1.5 seconds after the last tick!


Sear (Q)

(Active): Brand launches a fireball forward that deals magic damage to the first enemy it hits. If the target is ablaze, the target will be stunned for 2 seconds.

Brand's stun, his control spell

   A difficult stun to place.
This spell is difficult to master because the target must be ablaze first before you can stun him, but it gives you an excellent control.

It is harder to place your Q when your target takes a control from one of your allies or after the proc of Rylai's slow!! Make sure that your target is under the effect of the passive to stun it. 

In the lane phase it is difficult to apply it in 1 v 1 in the early if you jungler doesn't come to gank, because your opponent might hide behind the sbires who will block the spell.

This spell could save your life if you are being chased.

It is possible to do Q, then do your E while the spell is moving to apply the impact of the Q and stun. We often follow up with the rest of the W + R + ignite combo before making a kill, if possible.

Pillar of Flame (W)

(Active): After a short delay, Brand blasts a target area, dealing magic damage to enemy units within the area. Units that are ablaze take an additional 25% damage.

   The main spell for dealing damage
This is your main spell for pushing the lane, so as to move if possible.

This spell has an excellent range, therefore allowing you to harass your target very efficiently and deal your passive. 

lt is not always easy to place this spell, make the most of the moment when your opponent is going to last hit to use your skillshot against him.

If you are relatively close you can do the E/Q combo or the more difficult Q/E then the Pillar of Flame to deal 25% additional damage and, since it's the spell that you will level up first, it's gonna hurt!

The spell possesses an incantation time of 0.2 seconds.

Conflagration (E)

(Active): Brand conjures an instant blast at his target, dealing magic damage to it. If the target is ablaze, the conflagration will also spread to nearby enemies.

   Some potential zone damage

This spell is not a skillshot so it has a guaranteed valued if you are not very at ease playing Brand.

This spell also allows you to set off the passive on your target to place your combos next.

The combo Pillar of Flames followed by Conflagration allows you to quickly push the lane or completely kill it after reaching a certain level.

Pyroclasm (R)

(Active): Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire to a target that will bounce between enemies, dealing damage each time it bounces. If a target is ablaze, Pyroclasm's next bounce will prioritize champions. It will bounce up to four times for a total of five hits, and can hit the same enemy up to three times.

The ultimate to frighten you opponents if they are only two together

   The flipper
It is a powerful spell, particularly when two isolated opponents are close to each other to be able to bounce the ultimate between the two of them. The ultimate can therefore be very efficient against ganks if you use it at the right moment.

The first target touched by the spell can potentially be hit by more bounces than the others, up to 3. Each bounce reactivates the length of the passive.

Be careful as the first target hit by your ultimate can use its flash before impact to isolate himself and prevent the ultimate from bouncing.

Also note that if you cast this spell against a Banshee's Veil the ultimate will be completely absorbed, the same goes for champions like Nocturne or Sivir who have shields against spells!

The ultimate will bounce between your opponents once it has been cast even if you do not have vision!
