To this end, you’ll want to be sure you’ve got some ranged weapons backing you up; this ends battles faster, increases your army’s survival rate, and simply gets the job done more effectively.
As long as you’ve got opposition, you wouldn’t want to leave your special reinforcements on cool down. While placing them on cool down could save them for tougher battles going forward, you’ll have to think of the present when it comes to ongoing battles.
Yes, it does sound simple enough to play defense all game long and wait for opponents to attack your base, but Kingdom Rush Frontiers won’t make it that easy for you. You’ll also have to attack on occasion, and you can do that by tapping on an enemy tower, then on the blue flag icon, then on the area where you want your forces to travel to.
This can be a very destructive reinforcement, but you’ll have to fire it correctly if you want to make the most out of it. That means aiming the Rain of Fire right ahead of opposing forces. This allows them to walk into the explosion, thus wiping them out before they can get to your base.
Your magic towers would be your best offense against enemies that wear a lot of armor, as magic can stymie armor and deal some serious damage to your opponents. Then again, you’ll also want to check if your enemies have high magic resistance, because if they do, that might render your attacks useless.
