Look at the top left corner of your phone or tablet’s display – that’s the quest ticker that tells you what you need to do next in the storyline. Follow those story quests, especially if you’re not sure what path to take in the game.
Like in other city building games, you’ll have lots of buildings you have to upgrade, and the first ones you should upgrade are your townhouses, mines, and farms. Since they’re going to provide your core resources such as food, gold, and iron, you have to prioritize upgrading them for better production.
After you’ve upgraded the resource production structures, your next priority should be storage facilities, namely warehouses and barns. You’ll need to make sure you have an adequate place to keep your resources, or else your resource production upgrades will go to naught. Barns, for those who aren’t familiar, are where you keep the food, while warehouses keep your iron and gold.
As we said earlier, Stormfall: Rise of Balur does include some elements of massive multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs. With that in mind, you may want to join a league, which is a group of players working together for a common good. If you get attacked by someone outside of your league, you can have your league-mates help you out in your defense, while you can do the same and also trade resources among yourselves.
The Lost Arts tower is found near your castle and that’s where you can research a series of “lost” arts, and unlock bonuses for each art you successfully learn. These bonuses include, but are not limited to new types of units, passive skill increases, and an additional number of maneuvers. In other words, these Lost Arts can help you go out on more raids and earn yourself more reinforcements, so research those arts whenever you could.
Instead of paying a lot to revive your fallen troops, keep them in the catacombs once you’ve unlocked that area. Units stored in the catacombs are impervious to attack, though you wouldn’t want to stash all your units in there, as doing so may leave your kingdom very, and we repeat very vulnerable to enemy attacks.
