The Walking Dead: No Man's Land Tips, Guide & Cheats to Kill Hordes of Walkers

You better believe it – there’s another The Walking Dead-inspired game out there, following the success of Scopely’s The Walking Dead: Road to Survival. The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is by a different company (Next Games), and right now, it’s only available for iOS devices. However, it’s said to be the TV series’ official game, and in here, you shall be joining Daryl Dixon as he fights an army of “flesh-hungry” walkers in tactical, turn-based combat. You’ll also be training your group of survivors and their weapons, choosing which of them lives or dies, and hunting walkers in several locations you’ll recognize if you’re a TWD fan.

Before you proceed to kill those walkers, we suggest you stop for a moment and check out these The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land tips and tricks. In fact, you can call this your “survival guide” to this game if you’ve just started and don’t know how to proceed further.

1. You Don’t Have To Kill All Those Walkers

While it’s not necessary that you kill every walker that you see, killing as many as possible will give you more experience points for training. However, it’s not a smart idea to go for the kill all of the time, as there must be a balance between killing walkers and ensuring the safety of your survivors. In fact, you may have to run away from the walkers, particularly those who get attracted by the noise from your gun. It’s more important to complete mission objectives and requirements than to kill ALL the walkers, though it won’t hurt if you kill most of them.

2. Don’t Rush Your Moves

The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is a turn-based strategy game. It won’t rush you into making decisions while on the clock, which should allow you to take your time and make sure you’re doing the right thing for your survivors. Walkers spawn far away from your team in most cases, so that also gives you two or more turns to formulate an escape or to plot a way to get rid of them.

3. Know Your Survivors

Each survivor plays a certain role based on their skills. Hunters will likely generate the bulk of your “offense” as they can potentially kill a wave of zombies that’s lined up. Conversely, Bruisers are your tanks – they can stun zombies and soak up damage, thus offsetting their lack of offensive skills. Put your Bruisers in front and take out the stunned zombies with your Hunters and (knife-wielding) Scouts. It’s also best if you ambush a walker from behind if possible – if their back is turned to you, they might not find you too easily.

4. Reject Common One-Star Survivors

There’s nothing wrong with rejecting survivors if you feel they’re superfluous and won’t do you much good. One-star survivors are especially useless, so you can just reject them for XP if they’re what you get from your radio call. Choose the best possible survivors and keep at least six of them in solid condition, so you have a backup team in case something happens to your main team.

5. How To Get Rewards

After you’ve completed a mission, watch ad videos as they could earn you some Gold or Silver crates as rewards. But take note that these videos are extremely limited, and you can only watch them so many times. And you can’t replay previously completed missions to grind for rewards; the game doesn’t allow you to do that, so you have to make the most of whatever reward opportunities are given to you. Tapping on walkers at the gates also can give you gold, radios, or other freebies.
