Mistalker developed Terra Battle as a puzzle, role playing game battle based game wherein you need to recruit different warriors from various classes and attack enemies through sliding your units’ pieces around a grid and creating pincer attacks. Just like with typical RPG, you need to have a good strategy so you can perform your full potential to dominate the game. Below are some tips and guides that you can follow:
1. Weapon flow. Just like with other games, Terra Battle also endorse scissor-rock-paper system corresponds with weapon trinity. The flows like this: spears are strong against swords, swords are strong against bow and bow is strong against spear. By understanding this system, you can ensure that you are able to obtain the possible advantage over your opponent. It is also good to think in formulating your strategy that you must include all types of weapon so you are able to use their advantage against specific type of enemy. The only thing you must keep in mind that even there is an advantage with weapon trinity, still it is best to do your own strategy and never let this flow to control you. That is the reason why we mentioned that you must include this system with your strategy but in the end of it, you must follow your own strategy instead of just weapon trinity.
2. Knocking around your allies. This is one of the most useful things in Terra Battle that you can do to win the fight. The trick here is to push around your warriors with other warrior tiles. If happens that you push a warrior from the top, it will go up one space and if you decided to push it from the bottom, it will drop once space. You can also approach from the left and this will let the warrior moves right one space. And lastly approaching from the right will make them move on the left. Mastering the knocking trick with your fighters around will let you obtain the best possible position in a single turn. Just don’t forget the time limit of four seconds to get your warriors in the right place before they begin attacking.
3. Visit special in-game zone. The game offers special zone such as Hunting Zone and Metal Zone. For Metal Zone, you can find it on the world map that contains metal monsters which you can hunted for easy experience points. For Hunting Zone is located on the map wherein a good source of rare items and big rewards. In game you will encounter character’s new jobs are unavailable and you need to unlock using special items. Those items are can be obtained in Hunting Zone so don’t forget to visit those special zones in game. Also this special zone requires tough battles, so ensure that you have good battle strategy that you can use for top tier opponent. In the end, special zone is worthy to fight for especially because of their rewards.
4. Based the direction of your enemies when placing your warriors. You can hold down on an enemy’s icon to get a listing of its attacks. From here you can make a simple strategy based on your enemies. Keep in mind that in playing a strategy game like this, there is two kinds of ideas in which you can base your strategy. First is your own capability and the second one is through your opponents. So it is better also to take note what your enemies can do to you together with their direction. Definitely if you have a good knowledge with your opponent, you can easily make a counter against it. For instance, mages can inflict higher amount of damages but since they are only capable of vertical attacks you can take advantage by making an horizontal contact against him. You will also see warriors as a strong unit in game but helpless by flanking them form right and left sides.
5. Check level briefing. Just like with every opponent in your screen, you must also check the level briefing screen so you have an idea on what challenges are waiting on you before playing in. This is before you enter a battle, you’re shown a screen having enemy and player stats. I believe that most of us are excited to play the game as they will easily dismiss this screen because of excitement. But again this is very helpful for having hint that can bring easy victory. Here you will have the idea on nature of your enemies’ attack as well as how many wave you’re in for and the overall difficulty of the current stage.
6. Kill multiple enemies together. Did you know that killing different enemies at once will earn more experience points. This is perfect especially if you are looking forward to boost your level. For you to do it, you need first to ensnare multiple enemies in a single pincer attack that will let you do more damage against multiple enemies at once. You can do whatever type of skills you prefer as long as this can set up your enemies for multiple instant killing. You can also sandwich as many enemies as possible using single pincer attack. This is the most efficient way of killing enemies in the battlefield under a very limited turns.
7. Eliminate the support unit first. Supports stands as unit that is capable of healing their allies using their magic. If you see that in your current stage there is a healer, you must get rid this as soon as possible. Don’t worry because support typed of unit are physically weak, so you are able to eliminate them without a pain. In the same way, you must protect your support units so you can use them to the fullest for the entire round in supporting your primary units who take more damage from your enemies.
8. Use six allies at once. In Terra Battle, you are allowed to have six allies on the battlefield at once. First you will start with only four allies but you can add which is highly recommend to make it six. Now that you have lots of slots, you need to think on getting allies. You can earn warriors through battles also. You can head to the tavern and spend some of your energy to recruit friends.
9. Link allies to you attack. Actually you must link as many allies as you can to your attack. The concept here is the most allies you put up into an attack the harder that attack hits. Not only with ordinary attack but you can also link allies with your special skill attack. From here you will realize the advantage of having lots of allies so you can maximize the compensation from linking allies to your attack.
