1. Start improving your resources. This is the foundation of your progress as you really need to have lots of resources so you can empower yourself with three major feature of the game – attacking, defending and base building. So in terms of improving your resources you must focus building resource-related structure. Everything that can generate resources for you as well as let you to store more resources at a time. Though the most interesting feature of the game is the offensive or the attacking part, it is a trap on working on it from the first place just like what typical players do.
