Aside from the vast assortment of challenges in Color Switch, covered previously, an endless mode is also available which is probably where you’ll spend most of your time when you’re looking for a quick fix. As such, we’d like to provide you with some tips to help you beat your high score.
The magic number
Always remember the words: “two taps per second”. This handily denotes the frequency of taps on the screen that will keep the ball stationary.
Whatever it takes, make sure to pound this rhythm in your mind until you can perform this effortlessly, it is a staple technique for allowing you time to plan future movements and passing the harder obstacles.
This “two taps per second” rule also applies for all of the other game modes, including the more distinctive modes such as split and color fly.
Practise, practise and practise
As you start spending more and more time with the game, you’ll find that there will be a few obstacles that tend to trip you up more often than others.
Be sure to pay extra attention to these particular obstacles on your subsequent attempts and give yourself as much time as possible to plan your next moves.
The toughest obstacles typically have only one specific cycle where you can pass through safely, and learning these, I’m afraid, is something that will come with experience.
Get comfortable
For games like these which require meticulously precise finger movements and timing, it is imperative that you make yourself as comfortable as possible. By that I mean to include anything from playing music which helps you get in the “zone”, to even adjusting your sitting position and the way you hold your device.
It may sound a little over-the-top, but trust me when I say that these minute details go a long way to improving your performance.
Take a break
Finally, as with many other games designed to infuriate you, it is definitely a good idea to take a breather in order to calm down a little if the frustration starts to hit you.
Starting over and over with this mind-set will probably be a waste of effort, besides, all that tapping may also warrant letting your hands relax for a while.
