Over the past two decades, gaming consoles have become immensely popular, and now people all over the world like to play games in their free time. Though this console is now 10 years old, it still remains very popular because it, and its games, are so much cheaper than the newer PS3.

The PS2 was released in the year 2000, and has gone on to sell more than 70 million units worldwide. It has competed against many other well known gaming consoles, yet still remains one of the best selling gaming machines of all time. The reasons for its lasting success are partly because of its competitive price, partly because of the great selection of games that can be played on it, and partly because of the wide array of game enhancing accessories which can be used with it.
