The Last War Cheats: Tips, Tricks & Strategy Guide

A deadly virus codenamed “Himalaya” has wiped out most of humanity. In its wake are nothing but vicious zombies, and the few humans that survived were forced into hidden bases. They resorted to cloning in order to fight off the zombie invasion. The Last War is a strategy/city management game where you will construct the ultimate safe haven. We’ll help you out with our The Last War cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide so that you can give humanity one last chance!

1. Collect your dailies!

There are a lot of freebies you can collect over the course of your play time.

  • The daily bonus is the little touchpad with the fingerprint on it. With each consecutive day you log in and play the game, you can collect a nice bonus! Be warned though that if you miss a day, the bonuses reset back to day 1, which means you’ll only get the smaller stuff.
  • The lucky spin is the red box with the ? on it. This also resets every day. Take a chance and spin the wheel to see what you get. You can also spend gold if you want to spin it more than once, but I don’t recommend that.
  • The secret bonus is a the box with the star symbol on it. These start out with roughly about 10-20 minute timers. Once the time is up, you can open them for a random gift. As you level up, the timers will increase.

Be sure to collect these bonuses whenever you can!

2. Power up your champions to improve your odds!

Several factors determine a champion’s overall strength:

  • Their leadership value determines how many troops they can bring with them into battle. You can manually increase this amount by spending a Smart Chip, otherwise this value goes up when the champion begins to level up.
  • Skills are abilities that activate automatically during battle. Your champion has an allotted skill point amount, and learning a new skill takes a certain amount of skill points. You need to get skill books to learn new skills.
  • Talents are also passive abilities that affect the units under the champion’s command. These increase base values, like attack damage, accuracy, and more.

3. Heal your troops often to keep them alive!

When you go out to explore, your troops will get hurt during battles and sometimes you’ll even lose them completely. However, if they are just hurt, you can return to base at any time and heal up at the barracks. This is actually recommended as continuing to fight with injured units will eventually lead to their deaths! Seeing how you leave off right where you exited, it’s actually beneficial to heal up as often as you can, since you won’t lose any progress.

4. Keep your storage facility upgraded to protect your resources!

You won’t have to worry about this when you first start out since you have protection from other players, but once it runs out this is important to know. Once your newbie protection expires, you are open to assault by other players. If they succeed in breaching your fortress, they’ll steal your resources! Thankfully, once you get your headquarters up to level 5, you can build a storage facility. The storage facility protects a certain amount of your resources, and the higher level it is, the more resources it’ll keep. Upgrade it to prepare for the worst!

5. Keep collecting quest rewards!

When you complete a quest, you must manually enter the quest screen and collect the rewards yourself. Be sure to remember to do this, because often times you’ll be completing multiple quests. There are a lot of good rewards, so don’t miss out on them!

That should be a good starting point for your base. If you have any other questions or suggestions, leave a comment below!
