Car Race Freestyle Cheats: Tips, Tricks & Strategy Guide

Get ready for a wild ride! Car Race Freestyle is a physics-based racing platforming game. You take control of a car and try to make your way through crazy obstacle courses, all the while dodging deadly traps! We’ll help you get through the trickiest tracks with our Car Race Freestyle cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Use the classic retro for the straight track!

For some reason, the Air Breaker (The second selectable car) has a tendency to tip over backwards when you’re using it on the straight track. It’s best to stick with the classic retro, as it out speeds the Air Breaker by a lot, and has better control. By the way, we have a little theory. The straight track is actually supposed to be the jumping track, because if you play the “jumping track”, the track will be completely flat. We think they may have mislabeled the tracks!

2. Don’t forget about your brakes!

Regardless of the above tip, both cars can tilt backwards too much. If left unchecked, your car will flip over on itself and that will be the end of your run. To prevent this from happening, hit your brakes to lock your back tires. This will propel your car forward instead of backwards. Keep this in mind and you can stop a run from ending!

3. Watch out for hazards!

When you see the red exclamation mark pop up at the right side of the screen, a hazard is coming up. There are three types of hazards.

  • Cutter: Sawblades swing from one point to another. Sometimes they will do a full rotation. They’re pretty slow though, so just stop and go slow if necessary.
  • Pusher: These obstacles are pretty odd. At first glance they kind of look like suits of armor with a small cylindrical pillar coming out the bottom. If you touch this pillar at all, your car will be crushed! Wait until it retracts back into the base to pass.
  • Signals: A traffic light, essentially. The red light will have a number in it – this is its countdown. Once it finishes, the red light will turn on. Touching the patterned line below the light will end your run! Wait until it deactivates to pass.

4. Play the Curve track for easy coins!

The prices of the later cars and tracks are a bit outrageous, but if you really want to work towards them, the Curve track is the best place to get coins. Your car’s physics change on this track, making you stick to the track, which leads to easy control. Aside from that, coins spawn all over this track, and the further you get, the coins will be worth more. They spawn in groups of 4-5 coins, as opposed to the 1-3 groups you find on the straight and jumping tracks. Not to mention those are usually only worth single digit values, while the ones you find on curve can be around 1000!

5. Use your boosters!

You start out with 5 boosters that you can activate during any race. These boosters will make you temporarily invincible, so if you find yourself in the long run about to run into disaster, feel free to activate this.
