Apocalypse Meow Cheats: Tips & Strategy Guide

No one expected the cats to attack. They assaulted the Earth, and before we knew it, mankind was on the brink of extinction. Apocalypse Meow: Save the Last Humans is a fast paced shoot ’em up game. Take control of an ace dog pilot to rescue humans from the nefarious cats with the help of our Apocalypse Meow cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Try out Relative touch mode!

Your mileage may vary on this, but we found that using Relative Touch mode was better for survival. By default, your ship moves slighty above wherever you tap and drag. As you’ll quickly learn, this obstructs some of your view as your finger will be in the way. When Relative Touch mode is on, your ship will move from where it is. For example, if your ship is on the left side of the screen, tapping and dragging on the right side will not make the ship jump over. Instead, it’ll move from its original position to wherever you slide your finger. Try it out in the options menu!

2. Don’t worry about the objectives!

Each sector has four objectives for you to complete. At the very least you should always try to finish the rescue all humans objective, but don’t worry about the other ones. Some of them are really hard to do when you have no upgrades, such as the destroy all meteors or take no damage objectives. All they’re worth is score multipliers anyways, so don’t fret if you can’t complete them all.

3. In a bad situation? Just let it go!

You don’t have to keep your finger pressed on the screen at all times. In fact, if you let go, time will slow down to a crawl! This lets you assess the current situation and act accordingly. If you ever find yourself pinned between two streams of bullets, let go and seek a way out!

4. Focus on the Ship Systems upgrades!

The Ship Systems upgrades are permanent bonuses to your ship. More health, stronger guns, and all that jazz. You should definitely focus all of your minerals into these upgrades, rather than the payload upgrades. Payloads allow you to bring temporary power ups with you into battle, and while they’re very helpful, they cost a boat load amount of minerals.

5. Destroy all ships in a group!

Enemy ships will always fly at you in a formation. It’s usually in a single file line. If you can shoot down all of the ships in one formation, you’ll get a formation bonus worth 150 points. If you’re going for high scores this is key!
