Heroes and Armies comes with a fresh and interesting approach to the city management strategy genre (usually know as “Clash of Clans clone”) and it might be the first step towards completely evolving this genre, with no building limits and different approach to fights. If you are a fan of the game, then you probably want to get better at it and we’re here to help with some Heroes and Armies cheats and tips that will hopefully keep you going and winning all your battles.
It’s a terrible game in terms of waiting times, but there are things you can do to speed up things and get the most out of it, so let’s not waste any time and let’s check out TTP’s Heroes and Armies tips and cheats below!
1. Upgrade resource buildings first!
You won’t get too much love in terms of resource gathering during raids, so the best approach you can have in the game is to build the maximum amount of wheat and wood producing buildings ASAP and always have them upgraded to the max. They generate insanely low amounts of resources for your needs, and would generate even less if they weren’t upgraded.
2. Complete quests
You have campaign and daily quests – completing these is a sure-way to win a bunch of resources, so always keep an eye on them and make sure you complete them. This will probably reward you with more resources in the short run than the resource generating buildings themselves.
3. Join an alliance ASAP
Although you won’t get the chance to receive troops or other similar help from your alliance members, you will enter the Alliance War which could reward you with amazing goodies, including free diamonds. So make sure that you join an alliance – an active one and win those wars. This will make it a lot easier for you to purchase the special item buildings.
4. But the troop garrison ASAP
One of the best ways to spend the premium currency that you have early on is by purchasing the Troop Garrison and get a boost in the numbers of troops that you can send into battle. Sheer numbers will win you most early fights easily!
5. Keep your traps active
Traps pack a real punch when activated and they can really cause damage and win you the battle. So if you want to make sure that you don’t get defeated, make sure to keep them active and maxed out at all times.
6. Choose your opponents wisely
There is no time limit for you to decide if an opponent is worth attacking or not, so make sure that you look at two really important factors: how many and what type of troops they have and if they have any active traps (they are shown in the upper right side of the screen). I would personally suggest you to stay away from those with traps because you might lose the battle or at least end it with heavy damage.
7. How to properly attack
First of all, put your hero to good use – if it’s a long range mage type of hero like Calista, then make sure to keep the hero behind the squires and take enemies out from there, casting occasional spells. Have in mind that spells cost you and it’s difficult to recharge them, so only use the spells when they are really, really needed.
Try to keep your army as compact as possible, with the melee units at front and ranged ones at the back. When attacking, focus on taking out the enemy hero and long range troops first, then destroy the melee ones. Always choose easy to defeat opponents – you want to get as many medals per hour as possible, and you get them by multiple attacks on weak targets rather then few attacks on solid ones. The training waiting time is what you should always consider when deciding to go to battle or not.
8. Boost the buildings of other players
One interesting feature of the game is that you can boost the buildings of other players, even if they are not friends or members of the same alliance. You have 7 boosts per day and make sure you use them all (just select somebody from the general chat or maybe your alliance and boost) and you will get some nice loot rewards in turn. Maybe you’ll even make friends this way and they will boost your buildings too!
