Gopogo Cheats: Tips & Strategy Guide

Grab your pogo stick and let’s gopogo! Gopogo is a simple yet challenging platformer from the creative minds at Nitrome. In the distant future, pogoing is illegal, but a rag-tag team of misfits tends to break all the rules! Hop on your pogo, dodge all the obstacles, and grab all the coins. We’ll teach you how to survive in this pogo-outlawed world with our Gopogo cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Take your time!

The number one killer in this game is rushing – patience is main factor in success! Don’t ever try to rush through a level or try to make huge jumps between gaps, because more often than not you’re going to end up over/undershooting leading to you falling off the stage. Take your time, don’t rush, and practice making small jumps. Inch slowly to the end!

2. Get used to the angle of your jumps!

Your pogo will bounce the farther you angle yourself when you’re jumping. Try to get a feel for the distances that each angle gives. The jumping distances never change, so you should be able to know how far you’re going to go on the fly. With this knowledge, you should be able to get yourself out of pinches if you react fast enough.

3. Don’t worry about the coins!

Don’t worry about being perfect on your first run through a level. Once you pick up a coin, it’s yours forever and you keep it even if you lose a life. This means that you can revisit levels and get all the coins you miss. The number one rule in mind is to not risk your life for a measly coin!

4. Don’t make leaps of faith!

When you get to new areas of the level you haven’t reached before, slow down your progression and bounce in place for a little bit. Study the layout and plan out your jumps. Remember to take your time as there is no time limit here to rush you. You’ll need precise jumps to survive the later levels, so be sure to look before you leap!

5. Spend your coins on lives!

There are only two things you can spend your coins on: extra lives, or additional characters. If you don’t care for different looking characters, then just go ahead and spend your coins on extra lives. The unlockable characters do not have any kind of difference in their play styles; they just have different looks. We opted to spend our coins on extra lives so we didn’t have to dredge through the advertisements!

6. Play Endless mode!

If you want some extra coins, consider playing endless mode. Endless mode has no entry fee and coins respawn every run, unlike the level mode. It’s great if you want to build up a bunch of coins so you can survive through the level mode.
