When you first start off in this game, you will come across Lightning McQueen, who is animated by Owen Wilson. The whole point of this game is that Lightning McQueen is building up race tracks in Radiator Springs, so that all of the cars can race together there, but only one car can be the best out of them all. It’s your job to make your way up to the top of the leader boards by racing against a lot of the cars that were in the movie, but sometimes you will need to find special items to unlock the race tracks in order to beat the more talented rivals.

When you start racing, you will notice how easy the pedal is to use, because all you have to do is put your finger on the pedal to accelerate, and then you can move around with the couple controls as well. This is a very simple game to understand but the voice animations and graphics make this game stand out as one of the best racing games out there, even if you think the concept of the game is a little childish. As you progress through the game, of course the car rivals get harder and the race tracks need more items to build, and also are harder to maneuver around. You have to use strategy, especially when it comes to the turns in the game, and knowing when to let off the gas so you don’t spin out. If you only keep your finger on the gas, it will hinder your ability to move around the track in a smooth manner. There are also different tricks you can do with your car once you get enough accessories on it and advance far enough into the game. The tricks are fairly easy to pull off though, since it’s basically a pattern you have to use your fingers to input onto the screen. The ease of the trick ability will make you feel like you are really engaged in the game and the characters, since each car has unique abilities and each track also has special abilities you can do on them.

Overall, this is a game you really will enjoy, even if you think it’s a little more directed at children, because it’s just fun and the voice over work is simply brilliant. You will love the ease of the controls and functions, which helps give this game a 9/10 on gameplay.

Graphics: The graphics in this game are really good, because the track looks real and the cars are animated and look just like from the movie. They all have their own personalities which show up in the animation detail and graphic design. The details to the cars and the details in the customization items is really fun and exciting, and it will leave you busy building and creating new tracks for hours. You might not think that much graphically could happen in this game, but it does, which is why graphics easily gets 9/10.

Music: A game like this has a lot of great music and sound effects in it, from the cars revving up to the various voices you might hear from the cars themselves. It’s a very fun and animated game with a lot of cool and strange noises and you will laugh at some of the stuff you hear in this game. It’s almost like you took the voice animation from the movie and put it into game form, which is essentially what Gameloft and Disney did here, and that earned the music a 9/10.

Overall: This is easily a 9/10 game overall because it’s fun and exciting and especially entertaining if you have seen the “Cars” movie, because it’s the same crazy and cool animated type of situation. The personality and graphics of the cars and race tracks will leave you laughing and feeling like a kid again if you are an adult, and children will also have fun with this game as well. There is a little bit of gameplay kids might not quite understand, but after a little while, they will get the hang of all of the different pieces of this great game.
