Do you enjoy exploring dungeons? Then you too, enjoy Iron Knights, this game released in 2014 by South Korean game developer Actoz Soft is available on the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store. Playing this game, you have one of three options, you may connect via Facebook, create an Actoz Soft account or just play as a guest, but be warned that your data may be lost if you do play as a guest! Connecting via Facebook is highly recommended as you can find your friends who too play Iron Knights and invite them to help you explore the realms.
This free 3rd-person RPG is in many similarities to the hit game Diablo, in which the user controls a character to discover the treasures of the dungeon, in order to receive these treasures the player must first defeat the many protectors of the treasure, and finally destroy the boss. If you enjoy exploring and fictional stories then this Hack’n’Slash, monster slaying, quest halting little gem is the game for you.
You can play Iron Knights for free on iOS and Android devices, but if you are into playing this game, then you know how important it is to have gems and gold. Gems are the premium currency in this game, which is needed to buy items for your heroes and even buying new heroes. If you want to equip your team with the best weapons, you will need to spend real money to buy the gem packs, but this gets really expensive and often people will avoid this. AppGameCheats recently added Iron Knights to the hack generator collection, which means you can download a free hack to get as many gems and gold as you want.
If you download the free Iron Knights generator, you will be able to input the amount of gold and gems you want to have in your account. This will save you so much money and time, since gems are super rare to acquire in this game. The generator here at AppGameCheats is completely free and requires very little in terms of setup. You can download this free generator for both iOS and Android devices.
As you can see by the picture below, all you have to do is select which device you are using, and then input the numerical values in the two places in order to get the currency for free.
Once you download the Iron Knights free gems and gold generator, it will begin to automatically install, but this process could take up to 45 seconds depending on your connection speed. After it installs you just pick either iOS or Android, and type in the amounts of gems and gold you want to add to your account.
Simply click “Start” once you got that written down in the generator, and in about 30 seconds the generator will have completed the hack successfully. Open up Iron Knights on your device as usual, then you will see that the gems and gold are added to your account just like you wanted. This is a quick and painless way to add the rare gems to your account without needing to spend $100 on a chance pack, which might or might not give you anything useful such as the gems. This will allow yo u to play the game with more success since you can now purchase all of the items you need to make the best team with the best equipment and tools.
Ensure you organise your party correctly – Including your hero, you are in a party of 5, where you’re able to choose another 4 members. Each member has their own set of skills and may be summoned at different times, for example the top row of your party will fight alongside you until they fall at which your second row will come to hand. If you have two favourite party members, don’t forget you can also fuse them together.
Collect your bonuses – At the end of each game, you will be eligible to claim your prize for completing the level, but the notification sign is only small, so don’t forget and stay ahead of the game with your extra assets. Not only this, but when you go to do the level again, perhaps even on a greater difficulty, you will still gain rewards for reclearing the level yet some require a reclear just to achieve the base rewards of the level.
Use your skills – Once you have finished your tutorial, you will have been shown how to upgrade your skills available. But when fighting, always remember that these skills are going to help you out of that tricky situation. Most skills are the most effective when surrounded by multiple enemies as the skills are mostly area of effect abilities.
Get some friends – As said earlier, you’re able to bring a friend along to fight by your side as a 5th part member, but remember you can only use them for 15 seconds! So your timing here is vital, don’t waste them on the easy stuff, and focus them on the boss. The best thing about this tip is that you don’t even have to know them to add them as a friend, you can just add anybody from the find a friend section. As well as this 15 second helper, both party members receive valuable horns to purchase upgrades.
Upgrade the correct talents – You are given a choice of 4 talents, but can only use 3, these are passive abilities which directly affect gameplay making your character more buffed. Obviously, the more buffed the better, so up until you reach a greater rank and can unlock more than 4 talents, I would recommend ‘Steel Armour,’ ‘Persistent Life’ and ‘Sharp Blade.’
Firstly, I have to say that this game is superb! It is addictive in its own right, but challenging and also unbelievably entertaining. The quality of the visuals is out of the ballpark for mobile gaming, let alone considering the game is free. The user-interface however hasn’t got much to say for, but it being very overwhelming, the first screen after finishing the tutorial you are greeted with the home page, and having counted, are over 20 buttons on just a small screen. Other than this, the game is great.
As this game is free, you would expect very little variation in gameplay and characters, however to think that you would be wrong. The amount of party members who you may join up with is ridiculously high, the different monsters that spawn are mostly all different all with individual fighting styles which you should probably learn, to be most efficient against them. Although, there is a somewhat major issue with gameplay variation as every single level looks exactly the same. Each dungeon on the main acts has the same, straight almost 2d level which over time becomes draining to play and repetitive.
A negative I have found however, is that to get the greatest equipment and accessories real money will need to be spent. Money is required to purchase some of the necessities of the game, like ‘Energy’ for example, you can play 5 quests until you run out of energy and you will have to put the game down and wait for it to recuperate, unless you want to be spending money on this free game. This may be seen in some positive light too, as it stops you from playing it too much and procrastinating from other work you should probably be doing if you’re unwilling to pay. It is also a bad thing as of course you take into account the cost of the energy, but also if you’re a person who enjoys grinding a game out and completing it as quick as possible to become the best, this game is not for you. If you wanted to grind out the game it would cost major amounts of money, so this game is aimed at more casual mobile gamers.
An area I’d say that could be improved on is the layout of the game in general, fewer buttons on the homepage as mentioned earlier and just clearer in general. For example to get into my ‘Talent’ section I have to navigate through three pages, instead of being able to simply access through one click on my hero. Further examples are the multiple shops available, instead of just having one shop with many areas, there’s many shops with little areas, making it confusing to find where to buy your heroes or equipment, not to mention the 5 different currencies (gold, gems, medals, horns and gold bars). This makes the game not very user friendly and will take a while for newcomers to adapt to the foreign layout.
Most free games recently, you will have noticed the number of advertisements soar and be splashed across every screen possible even on the main game screen, this is where I believe Iron Knights have kept their dignity. Having numerous hours played I have yet to see a single advert! This is definitely a step forward in the mobile gaming industry and helps add to a great profile for this game.
In general I really do adore this game, but isn’t playable sustainably over large times. The game is enjoyable in small periods as the levels are repetitive but we are only able to play the game in short periods of time as we’ll run out of energy, so the two negatives actually collaborate very well and dumb down the feeling of it being monotonous. If you were to play this game I would recommend short, joyful bursts of this RPG.
AppGameCheats Iron Knights Ratings:
Story & Originality: 6/10 – For the story, there is little to no story at all. The only story which is available to us is in the apps description in the appstore and as such, with the app developers being South Korean, this story is a little incoherent. However the originality is pretty impressive and the level of depth and input into each individual character is very great, even every piece of equipment, weapon and accessory each have their own original design and some with different animations and diverse play styles too.
General Gameplay: 8/10 – Apart from the same dungeon being repeated for each level, the general gameplay of each level cancels out the dullness. The amount of skills and talents to be learnt is huge and the way each different weapon looks in game is incredible. On your first play through, you are forced to play on the easy game mode, of which you can kind of guess, that the game is very easy and takes little input to clear each level. To play on a harder difficulty you have to complete the game on easy, which would take many hours of tedious grinding to get there.
Addictiveness: 5/10 – As much as this game is enjoyable, the factors that attract you to come play more are very slim, such as the cost of playing more than 5 quests because of a lack of energy, or it may be thought of playing the same dungeon over again just doesn’t satisfy you enough to want you to play more. They do try to keep you enticed with daily quests, daily login rewards and limited time offers, but none of these, for me, were that overpowering to make me play more.
Graphics: 10/10 – The way this game looks, for a mobile game is unbelievable. The lighting of the game is just perfect, considering the limits available of phones. Even the background of the home screen is animated and just looks stunning. If you were to rate the whole game based off looks this game would achieve game of the century. The weapons in themselves are somewhat similar, but the animations of some are so immersive and just nice to look at in general.
Overall I would rate this game 7.5/10
There are some improvements of this game which would boost its score greatly, this game has got potential to be great.
