Captain America: The Winter Soldier mobile game is an action game developed by Gameloft in collaboration with Marvel. It’s available on iOS, Android, and Windows 8. The game is a top down beat em up with a combat system reminiscent of Diablo, but extremely simplified. You’re simply trying to get to the end of the level while beating up all of the bad guys in your path. It’s based off of the movie with the same name, but it has very little in common aside from the main characters. The story features far more characters than the movie, but the execution of the story leaves much to be desired. Just like most other Marvel mobile games, it features “Iso-8” in it’s story.
You play as Captain America and you have a small team of SHIELD agents at your disposal. In each level, you pick two agents and beat up bad guys as a team. Captain America’s gameplay involves throwing his shield and punching bad guys. He also has a special move which is dependent on the costume you choose. The starting costume gives you an area of effect ground pound sort of attack. The shield can be thrown at some objects in the environment which helps you in combat. For example, you can throw the shield at a fire hydrant and a power supply to douse enemies and electrocute them.
Your agents aid you in general combat and each one has a special move or special abilities which you can activate. There are 4 types of agents: Snipers, Troopers, Supports, and Heavies, each with his own special ability. The Trooper uses a grenade which can be used to dispatch multiple enemies at once, the Sniper has a snipe move which does high amounts of damage to a single target, the Heavy can blow up different objects in the environment and improve the lethality of his gun, and the Support can hack terminals and lower the defense of nearby enemies. Be warned however, that agent abilities are consumables, and you have to buy more using either in game which can be earned or purchased with real money. All of your characters can level up to increase their power rating.
There is also a very unexciting multiplayer mode where you pit your agents against another player’s, but there is no real gameplay involved. You choose three agents and set each one to either “defense mode” or “attack mode”. If an agent is on defense mode, his attack can be cancelled by another specific class being on defense mode, but he does 200% damage if he’s not cancelled. For example, a Trooper will be cancelled if he is on defense mode and an enemy sniper is on defense mode. After setting up your agents, you simply send them off to battle and you get told which team won.
If you play Captain America: The Winter Soldier you will soon realize you need a lot of credits, coins, ISO-8, and tokens to progress in the game and get all of the items you need to be successful. You can purchase the credits in the app store, but this costs real money, and a lot of people just don’t want to pay for that in order to move up in the game. Here at AppGameCheats, we decided to add the hack tool for the game, which gives you free and unlimited credits, coins, ISO-8, and tokens.
If you check out the picture below, you will see how easy the hack tool is to setup once you download it, and it’s available for iOS and Android devices.
After you download our Captain America: The Winter Soldier hack, you will notice that it installs automatically on your device. Both the download and installation of the hack tool should take 30 seconds each, however it could take a little longer depending on your internet connection. After the download and install are completed, you will need to select which device you are using to play the game. You can then type in the amount of credits, coins, ISO-8, and tokens that you want to add to your account.
Click “Start” to begin the hack process when you are ready, which also should take about 30 seconds to complete. Once that is finished, you can load up Captain America: The Winter Soldier on your device, and you will notice the credits, coins, ISO-8, and tokens have been added to your account. This is an easy way to get the in-game items you need to quickly and freely play the game without worrying about having to do missions to build up your currency and other resources.
The game is extremely straightforward, so there’s no real protips to be successful. However, for enemies with shields, throw your shield at them to make them lose their shield, and they become far easier to kill. I might be the only one who didn’t realize this, but just in case you aren’t aware when you play, this makes dealing with enemies far easier.
This game seems to have a lot going for it. Lots of bad guys, decent combat, and it’s Captain America! This seems like a great game for Marvel fans like me, but I didn’t really like the game all that much. It was fun at first, but it quickly got old, as the gameplay is extremely repetitive and every level feels like the exact same thing. Not only that, but the controls were clunky and I didn’t feel as if I had great control over my characters. The game performed decent on my phone, a OnePlus One, but the controls were a little weird. The controls were easier on my Windows tablet, but the game performed terribly. It was far smoother on my phone than on my tablet.
Artwork & Graphics: 6/10
The graphics are reminiscent of a comic book. The characters are cel shaded, but some of the characters are somewhat low poly, which results in a somewhat awkward art style. The levels themselves look okay for a mobile game, but the levels seem to reuse alot of assets, making each level look pretty much the same.
Music & SFX: 7/10
The music definitely seemed like something you would hear in a Marvel movie, but paired with this art style felt a little out of place. The sounds the characters make in combat however, are decent. The punching sounds make beating up a bad guy feel satisfying.
Story & Originality: 5/10
The story was not very interesting at all, which is alright because I’m not playing this game for a good story. The game isn’t that original, as it’s essentially an action rpg style game with less rpg and simpler gameplay. However, a lack of originality isn’t always a bad thing as long as the game is enjoyable.
General Gameplay: 5/10
As I said before, the game is extremely repetitive. There is very little variance to each level, and they all feel exactly the same. The agents system and secondary objectives do add a little bit to spice of the levels, but they don’t do enough to make the levels unique.
General Addictiveness: 4/10
Initially I played the game for at least 30 minutes straight, but after that I didn’t feel compelled to progress. After I played the first handful of levels, the game didn’t have much to offer except the shoddy progression and half baked multiplayer. The gameplay was even more repetitive than my diction.
Final Verdict: 5/10
Even though I’m a huge Marvel fan, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of my favorite action movies, I regret to say that this game is simply mediocre. There are plenty of other free action games for mobile, as well as numerous other Marvel games which, in my opinion, are of far higher quality than this one. Overall the game looks and feels alright, but after you’ve played through the tutorial, you’ve experienced how the gameplay will be for the rest of the game. In addition the controls are very clunky which detracts from the experience. All of these reasons led me to rate this game a 6/10.
