Do you love a turn-based battle game with sexy characters and hard hitting knights? Brought to you by Mistwalker Corporation, Terra Battle is a grid-based map game that involves moving your characters around to attack enemy minions and gain experience in order to fight harder monsters and eventually bosses. This game is available on iOS and Android devices. Stamina limits the amount you’re allowed to play per day, but regenerates on a consistent basis. To join Terra Battle, simply download the app and get started! This is not an interactive game to play with others, but rather a solo adventure for yourself. Rated 3.5/5 stars, Terra Battle gives the user freedom to pick whichever characters they want to play and take themselves on an adventure without feeling the pressure to compete with others.
The goal of Terra Battle is to go through the storyline and continuously destroy minions on the way in order to gain levels for your characters and create the best team using the numerous characters who join your quest to conquering every boss. There are subsets of goals in this game which are each boss, similar to each Gym Leader in Pokemon. By accomplishing these subset of goals, you get to reach higher and face stronger bosses.
This is a solo game. There is no joining Facebook or Game Center to play with other people. Unlike a lot of games out right now that include other people in your adventure, this game just involves playing yourself against a computer.
The first thing that happens in Terra Battle is that you gain two characters, both level 1, to join on your adventure. Terra Battle guides you through the battle. The battle is on a grid board and your characters are squares on the grid board. The monsters that you must defeat are also squares on the board. By placing two of your characters on the board side by side, you’re able to attack the monster between your two characters. The monsters must do the same. They have to get on both sides of your character to attack. Bonus items are placed randomly around the board that you can use to your advantage during a battle.
The main in-game purchases you can make are stamina purchases that help you continue playing the game. Only if you’re really into the game and can’t stop playing, would you buy these as they are very costly.
You might be stuck on a level or mission while playing Terra Battle and thinking about purchasing the coins and energy from the app store to help you progress through the game and unlock various items. The coins and energy cost real money in the app store, which means you can end up losing a lot of money buying these in-game items.
Here at AppGameCheats, we decided to develop a free downloadable hack tool you can use to get unlimited coins and energy for free.
The picture below explains how the cheat for Terra Battle works, with an options menu to use that allows you to put in the amount of coins that you want.
You can download the free hack tool for Terra Battle right here on our website, which only takes 30 seconds to download, and it automatically installs. The install also takes around 30 seconds, but both depend on your internet connection. Non-Combat
Job changing requires materials from enemies that you constantly fight in battle. Job changing requires materials of varying rarity. The more common monsters in the game drop the more common materials, while only storyline bosses drop special rare items such as tears, ores, or particles, all which are required to job change from one class or another.
Any item that you’re unable to find, either common or rare item, can be easily found by going on the website http://terrabattle.wikia.com/wiki/Items. If you’re having trouble finding a common item, it might just be that you’re getting unlucky when farming for these items.
Hunting zones are areas where there is a chance for a Boss monster to spawn on the last floor of the zone. These boss monsters are special in that they possess a higher chance to drop rare materials than the normal storyline bosses. A specific boss, Puppet Show, appears in the game at random times(as much as we’re concerned, it’s random), that drops some tears , particles, or ores.
What should you be saving? Coins are the main currency in Terra Battle and used to improve your characters so that they can fight against stronger enemies. Save coins until your job changes are completed for 6 of your characters. Job changes require up to 130,000 in coins. Saving until you have enough coins to job change all of your characters requires you to be patient with your money, but it’ll be worth it towards the end when you’re able to kill stronger enemies and not be annoyed with how long battles take.
Don’t use the Pact of Friendship because it is rather a curse. The Pact of Friendship is a roulette that gives you a random character with a chance of getting a shiny SS character, but due to the rates of getting one of the “good” characters is so small that it’s highly recommended that you wait for all of your job changes to finish. Each pull is 3k, which does not seem like much, but in the end, can add up to high amounts. Wasting your time on the Pact of Friendship is often where players feel like they’re going to stop playing the game. It’s a waste and puts a halt on your game due to the nature of the game getting more and more difficult over time.
Missing a rotation of hunting zone or metal zones? If you let your phone sit at the stage entry screen, you can wait on stamina and then join the zone. This allows you to be able to still reap the rewards of the zones without having any stamina.
Third job changes are even harder than the first time you job change. Items begin to get harder to get because monsters are stronger and bosses often defeat you before you have a chance to retrieve any resources. SS rank characters require third job changes. Weapon items are included to go through the job change. Weapons are dropped by storyline bosses but are extremely rare to drop from a boss. Often you may have to run through the same storyline bosses in order to obtain the desired weapon. This is a frustrating process as you can obtain the weapon the first run through or fail to get it even after defeating the storyline with days of stamina.
Specific zones help you with specific objectives you’re trying to obtain in the game. For example, in hunting zones, running the highest difficulty allows you to be able get the best drops for a cheap amount of stamina. Metal zones are for leveling your characters. It provides the best stamina to experience ratio.
One cheat, don’t know if allowed or not, is that by switching time zones on your phone, it’s possible to enter a rotation as if you’re living in another time zone, so you’re able to enter any rotation during the day.
Combat
Attempt to memorize the attack patterns of enemies with different types of weapons. For example, Swords only attack horizontally, Bows can attack in all 4 directions, but only attack after they have made their move, finally Spears only attack vertically.
Making sure you arrange your units so that the enemies cannot retaliate is essential to keeping your team alive. Swords and Spears can attack even after moving, so checking the area that they can move is the way that you’ll be able to avoid those specific enemies.
Know your enemy. Some bosses in Terra Battle have weaknesses against certain types of elements or weapons types. Bosses can go from taking no damage, to dying extremely quickly if you use these weaknesses effectively. Look on the wikia page mentioned above to find the boss’s weaknesses if you’re having trouble killing the boss.
A little cheat that you can use if you make a mistake at the boss or you didn’t do what you wanted to accomplish, you can close the game and re-open the game. you can do this because the game doesn’t save until you’ve completed the entire level. So if you think you’re going to lose, you might want to use this trick. This saves a ton of stamina and can be used to your liking.
Honestly, these types of games are not very interesting to me and get very dull very quickly. The idea of having a stamina bar where it forces you to stop playing once your stamina bar runs out is not a good idea in my honest opinion. Terra Battle lacks any kind of cool animation when attacks are made as well as any 3-D action that’s seen in a lot of games. Compared to other games, I think Terra Battle is a little bit behind on the gameplay aspect of what other games are at.
The lack of any communication with other players is also very disappointing. The idea of being able to compete against your friends or some other person, personally, makes for a really boring game. Pokemon has the ability to connect online and dual people.
Although this review is rather negative, it does have some amount of strategical idea to it in the placement of your characters are the board. The grid board is used to place your characters in a way so that you can flank the enemy from both sides in order to attack monsters. Although it is seemingly boring to flank the enemy by moving your pieces in position, in later stages, the bosses and minions become much harder and start striking back harder and can deal with your characters in a way that makes it difficult to retaliate without having stronger characters.
The idea of job changes is also a refreshing choice. It provides a new look to the characters that I grew over time and it also made me stay into the game, wanting to develop my characters into the SS characters with a ton of power. It feels, again, similar to Pokemon in that Pokemon has evolutions after a couple of levels, but in Terra Battle, evolutions come from obtaining drops from monsters.
Artwork: 8/10 The actual artwork of all the characters in the game is very good and very detailed, it’s simply that the other aspects of Terra Battle are a turn-off. The pictures on the little squares are pretty decent and the story is pretty unique.
Music & SFX: 7/10 Very eerie music and nice victory sounds. They weren’t amazing, but nothing that you can complain about.
Story & Originality: 6/10 The story is kind of interesting in that you get to travel up with a bunch of characters and are able to fight against bosses that stop you from reaching the end goal. It isn’t original, however, I’ve seen this story used a bunch of times before.
General Gameplay: 1/10 A turn-based, grid lay-out, flank attacking game? Really? That gets extremely boring and doesn’t have as much strategy involved as one might think.
Addictiveness: 5/10 I don’t think Terra Battle interested me very much because of the gameplay. It simply was not fun to play. The game still gets a decent rating because the job changer is a fun aspect of the game that kept me going a bit.
Overall Rating: I rate Terra Battle a 5/10.
