Puzzles and Dragons, seems like a cool name doesn’t it? Well it’s basically like the game title, you get dragons and have to solve puzzles, and it’s available on iOS and Android. However, it’s not as simple as it sounds, first of all you would need to assemble a team of dragons which are given to you. Once you have your team you need to choose a dungeon to go through and inside that dungeon you have to clear puzzles to fight other dragons. It’s like candy crush but more extreme with all the dragons and monsters.
When you begin Puzzles and Dragons you are given three dragons to chose from, a fire dragon, a water dragon, and a leaf dragon. After choosing a dragon you get two small dragons which are the other two elements that you did not choose from. You then go through a tutorial dungeon that have five levels that teach you about attacking, gaining health, special abilities, and how to make attacks stronger. You beat up other monsters in the dungeon and sometimes if you are lucky you get an egg. The egg will then hatch and show you the monster inside it, you can add the monster in your team or you can fuse it with other monsters.
When you fuse a dragon or more within another dragon the dragons that are being fused into the dragon help it level up. Depending on the strength or amount of the dragons that are being fused the dragon will level up according to it. Once you’ve gone through the whole tutorial and learned how to fuse other dragons you go to an monster machine which then gives you a monster if you pay five gems. The monster can vary from regular to super rare, if you get super rare than the dragon would be stronger in it’s base form.
There are also another type of dungeon that is called special dungeons, and what they are is dungeons that are special, they come every once in a time. I really like the special dungeons because you can get more loot and stronger dragons from them, however, they are as well really hard to beat. So if you are a beginner it is best to not waste your stamina on it as you only get 22 stamina. Try to wait a bit longer and level up to a higher rank, than it would be best to try to clear a special dungeon.

Now not everyone’s luck is high so what I like to do if I don’t get a good monster is to just restart the tutorial. Doing this will eventually bring you to another spin and this time your luck might be better and you’d get a strong dragon. However, if you are still having trouble then just do it all over again until you finally get the dragon you want.
When you play later on you begin to get other dragons, however, sometimes you would feel like they’re not that good. I know I do. So what’s a good tip that we can do to get stronger dragons? Well we can save up magic stones until we can go and try to get a high quality dragon, making it most like super rare. This way you won’t have one, but two really strong dragons which is good for you because than you become stronger and better at the game. You’ll also be developing faster than most other people in the game.

Many people love Puzzles and Dragons and I admit that I am one of them, it’s really fun, adventurous, and simple. At first it seems like a really complicated game, however, it was made simple with the tutorial. The ability to make a dungeon tutorial and explain the whole game in just five steps is amazing, and doing it well makes it more amazing. Just solving puzzles to fight with dragons is all the game is about, yet it is much more.
Another thing I loved about this game is the different dungeons there are, there are main dungeons that you have to complete. In addition there are special dungeons in which you can get loot and dragons from. I just love the idea of creating special dungeons to help others, and there are even different levels for the special dungeons going from novice to expert. So if you were a beginner it would be best to go to novice, however, if you have been playing for some time and you have strong dragons then feel free to go to a higher level. Maybe even go to expert level and get much more loot.
What I really loved is the tutorial itself, at first it gives you the choice to choose a dragon which I really liked because I prefer fire dragons from water or grass. Yet others would probably take water instead because that is what they like. Then you get more dragons and loot and as you reach to the end of the tutorial you know how to fight and how to get high combos. When you reach the end of the tutorial you finally get a dragon that could be rare or super rare, depending on what you get it’ll decide your fate in the game.
Animation: I really loved the animation of Puzzles and Dragons, I would give it a 10/10. It has nice smooth animation and it looks great. I don’t get any glitches at all when I play on Puzzles and Dragons, and when I get a combo the animation looks amazing. I also like the animation of the puzzle because it looks really smooth when it falls and moves.
Music & SFX: I liked the music for Puzzles and Dragons, however, it wasn’t what I expected it to be. I give it a 7/10 for it. It’s very short and repetitive, and I thought it would’ve been better if the music was more medieval than being fighting music.
Story & Originality: The story and originality was well made, I would give it a 8/10. It wasn’t too original as other games have the puzzles that are in puzzles and dragons such as Candy Crush. However, they did add in the monsters which makes it better. I really like the story as you just need to go and defeat the dungeons, it’s simple and easy.
General Gameplay: I would give the general gameplay an 8/10. The gameplay is nice and easy and the tutorial makes it easier. The special dungeons are fun to play as you get more loot and dragons. However, the only problem is that if you don’t keep your dragons strong then you’ll start to fall behind, and it won’t be too long until it becomes that you can’t play because you’re too weak.
Addictiveness: I would give puzzles and dragons a 7/10 for addictiveness. It’s not too addictive and it’s really easy to just get rid of it from boredom. After you first play it’s nice and all, however, as time passes on it just feels like it gets more boring. Though it is addictive in the beginning and if you go the right way then it’ll stay addictive but that’s the point. That is only IF you go the right way and who knows which way you’ll go.
Overall, I give Puzzles and Dragons an 8/10.
