If you are looking for a good time killer and you like Sonic the Hedgehog, look no further! Developer SEGA released their game Sonic Jump Fever with great success, downloaded over ten million times on Google Play Store with a rating of 4.2/5 and a 4.5/5 star rating on iOS App Store. The main challenge of Sonic Jump Fever is to jump up on the map and collect gold coins, upgrade your characters so you can collect even more coins and try to get the highest score between you and your friends.
You start off Sonic Jump Fever with a small tutorial that shows you the basics of the game. Basically all you have to do is jump from platform to platform by tapping on your screen and steering your character by moving your screen. While jumping around from platform to platform you also need to kill enemies and collect gold coins and occasionally red star coins. You have a limited amount of time to get as high up as possible and collecting as many coins as you can. After the timer runs out, you complete the level in a “bonus round” where your character is sitting in a hot air balloon, ready to leave the map, but you have to flip up cute little animals in the hot air balloon to save them. The more animals you save, the more coins you are awarded.
By collecting these coins, you can upgrade your character’s power-ups and make it easier to collect coins during your gameplays. By leveling your character up, you collect tokens. You can use these tokens to unlock new characters which have other power-ups.
There are certain things you need to keep your eye on. You could see your FEVER level as a difficulty meter. The higher your FEVER level, the harder the difficulty of the gameplay but also the greater rewards you get awarded. Your character has the following attributes; Shield, Stun, Spring Shoes and Detonate. You can upgrade these attributes using gold coins. Some information about these attributes are;
– Shield: Protection from Badniks (enemies) and spikes.
– Stun: Halts enemies and makes them vulnerable to attack from below and above.
– Spring Shoes: Increases your jump height.
– Detonate: Destroys Badniks and increases your combos for extra points
There are also a few boost ups you should keep your eye on such as;
– Ring Time: Transforms Badniks into gold rings.
– Magnet: Attracts gold coins automatically towards your character.
– Flame Jump: Chain together multiple double jumps.
You got an energy bar with five stripes which are basically your lives. Every time you play a round of Sonic Fever Jump, you lose one energy stripe. Energy stripes regenerate automatically. Every twenty-five minutes you will replenish one energy stripe. You can use the SuperCharger booster to recharge your energy twice as quickly, forever. You can also earn free energy by asking energy from your Facebook friends. Last option is to watch a video ad which adds an energy stripe after you completely watched it.
You collect character tokens by leveling up. Once you got enough character tokens, you can unlock the character whose tokens you collected. You can also purchase Red Star Rings to unlock and upgrade characters faster. Available characters are: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Blaze the Cat, Shadow the Hedgehog and Silver the Hedgehog. In total there are four zones you can play in which are: Green Hill Zone, Mechanical Zone, Jungle Zone and Blue Sky Zone.
Sonic Jump Fever In-game store
Sonic Jump Fever is a free to play game but like many free to play games, it has an in-game store where you can purchase items that will either give you a big advantage in the game or speed up your progress of leveling up and getting new characters. For instance, the Ring Doubler booster doubles the amount of coins you have collected in a level and the SuperCharger booster replenishes your energy bar at twice the normal speed, forever.
Besides boosters, there are also Red Star Rings. With these Red Star Rings you can for example replenish your energy bar but mostly these rings are used to purchase gold coins. With gold coins you can actually upgrade your characters and upgrade their skills so they are more effective.
The price for boosters in Sonic Jump Fever vary from 1,99 USD to 3,99 USD. The price for Red Star Ring packages vary from 1,99 USD for the smallest package of 200 Red Star Rings to 99,99 USD for the largest package of 14000 Red Star Rings. You can also buy packages of Gold Coins which vary from 5000 Gold Coins for 160 Red Star Rings to 175000 Gold Coins for 5000 Red Star Rings. Any in-app purchase will remove advertisements in the game. This will make the game a lot more enjoyable because you will not see any more ads after each level completion.
If you are currently playing the vertical jumping platform game Sonic Jump Fever, you quickly might be realizing that you need a lot of rings, energy, and red rings to help you get new items and some cool upgrades. The bad part is, it costs real money if you want to get these items from the app store, and most people hate paying for that. If you want to get rings, energy, and red rings for free, you need to check out our hack tool, which we have made that gives you unlimited amounts of these items.
Check out the picture below, which shows you how easily the hack tool is to use, with a simple options menu that guides you on where you need to input the values of each item you want to add.
Simply download the free Sonic Jump Fever hack tool, which should take about 30 seconds, and then you will notice it automatically installs. You then will need to select either iOS or Android, and then enter the amounts of rings, energy, and red rings that you want to add to your account.
Press “Start” to begin the hack tool, which takes about 30 seconds to finish, and then just load up the game. You will notice that the rings, energy, and red rings are added on to your gaming account ready for you to use.
There are several useful cheats and tips for Sonic Jump Fever. I will list the few most important ones which I find really useful while playing this game.
Every time you play Sonic Jump Fever, you use one energy stripe, which you have five of in total. They do regenerate automatically every twenty-five minutes but that is a long time to wait to play a game. You can use the time lapse cheat to stop having to wait. What you do is, once you are out of energy, you forward the time on your device. After you get back into Sonic Jump Fever you will notice that you got all your energy back. You can just put the time on your device back to its original state and voila!
You can get around the ads in Sonic Jump Fever by simply putting your device on Airplane Mode. Ads will stop appearing because you are not connected with the internet.
You can easily get free rings by connecting trough Facebook. You can also watch ad videos to get free rings. What you want to do while you are playing the game is to collect as many rings as you possible can. Once your fever meter is full, activate it so you can play the bonus round so you can collect even more rings. Last but not least, Red Star Rings are worth more than gold rings because you can use them to unlock new characters or recharge your energy bar, so if you see Red Star Rings while you are playing, try to collect those first.
First thing what you want to do spend your gold rings to upgrade your character. My advice would be that you increase the duration of the power-ups. Once you upgraded them, you can collect the gold coins for other purposes. I would like to warn you beforehand, upgrading counts towards increasing the Fever meter for all of your characters, which makes the game difficulty significantly higher.
What I did in my play trough is, I unlocked Amy with the Red Star Rings as soon as possible because I read that she is the best character to have. She is also cheaper than Knuckles or Blaze. Her special jumping hammer attack defeats enemies easy and collects items faster. You can score higher points with her easier as well because of this.
At the end of every level, you will have a little bonus game where you have to flip animals up in your hot air balloon. Each of them earns you one hundred points. Try to land them nicely because your character will wait a little longer and you will earn more points at the end.
Because the game is pretty straight forward, a tutorial is really not needed. When you start the game for the first time, there will be certain aspects of the game explained to you by text balloons. This is a nice touch because the developers do not leave you clueless, without any hints etc. The game itself is easy and even beginner gamers will play Sonic Jump Fever with ease. The graphics are clear and detailed, but because you are in a hurry to get as many points as possible, it can happen that you sometimes cannot follow what is happening on the screen. After you played a few times, you will get used to this and the game will become easier for you. I like the fact that you can connect with your Facebook friends and compete with them to see who can get the highest score. This brings a challenge to the game and will make it more fun to play. You can also get free energy trough Facebook from your friends, which is always nice.
Like many free to play games, there are always a few downsides. In Sonic Jump Fever there is an energy bar which consists of five lives. So this means you can play five times before this bar empties out. It takes a whopping twenty-five minutes for one life to get replenished. Of course if you do not have the patience, you can always replenish your energy bar by spending real money in the in-game store. This can be a turn off for many casual gamers, since they just want to play the game to kill some time.
Next to having an energy bar, there are also Red Star Rings which you can use to unlock more characters and other boosters. Of course these Red Star Rings are hard to collect so if you want to play with more characters, you will probably have to dish out some real money to purchase them in the in-game store.
One good thing comes out of an in-game purchase. After you purchase something in Sonic Fever Jump, your game will become completely ad free and will always stay like that.
Artwork: I give Sonic Jump Fever a 7.5/10 for its artwork. The graphics and animations are very appealing and easy on the eyes. Because you have limited time, it is sometimes hard to follow what is happening on the screen but after a while you get used to it. The special light effects when you jump through space are very nice and the characters such as Sonic are detailed and drawn very nicely.
Music & SFX: I give Sonic Jump Fever a 7.5/10 for its music and SFX. The main menu soundtrack is catchy and fits the game. The soundtrack during gameplay is pretty thrilling which makes you haste through the level faster. The SFX such as the jump sound and coin collect sound are nice and easy on the ears. They don’t disturb you while you play.
Story & Originality: I give the game a 6/10 for its story and originality. There is no story to the game really, you just have to start at the bottom and jump your way up. When your timer runs out, you stop and your coins get counted out to you. With these coins you can upgrade your characters and unlock more characters. The game itself is also not every original. I remember games on those old Nokia phones which had similar games like this, only worse graphics.
General Gameplay: I give the game an 8/10 for general gameplay. While the game is pretty repetitive and straight forward, it still remains a good time killer. Got a couple of minutes to kill? Just jump a few levels and put your phone away again. The game doesn’t seem to get harder the more you play it, simply because you get used to it and steering and jumping from platform to platform gets easier.
Addictiveness: I give Sonic Jump Fever a 5/10 for addictiveness. The game is more of a time killer than addictive to be perfectly honest. You got a total of five energy stripes, which deplete after you have played five times. In order to play again, you either need to wait twenty-five minutes for one energy stripe to replenish or you can of course spend real money to get fill up your energy bar instantly. In other words, you either have to wait a long time to be able to play again, or you simply pay up money in order to play this game which is a huge turn off.
All things considered, I give Sonic Jump Fever a 7/10
