Are you a fan of rope-swing games? Do you want to hitch rides on UFO’s that happen to be zooming around in our atmosphere? Do you want to be a modern-day Tarzan of the Amazon? If you answered yes to any of these, Deemedya’s game, Rope Escape, is the game for you! Rope escape is a simple, yet fun rope-swing game which is perfect for those moments you spend waiting in the doctor’s office (or the oval office, if you know what I mean), in line at the grocery store, or any situation where you have time to kill. This game is available for iOS and Android devices for free.
The main focus of Rope Escape is to swing from platform to platform (platforms being trees, airborne boulders, blimps, and UFO’s) without crashing to the ground. Along the way, there are power-ups that enhance your rope, total distance, or the amount of coins you earn. For example, you can find rockets floating around as powerups; touching the rocket with your character will allow you to take a ride on the rocket, boosting you forward at high speed. There is a hazard to this game, however: spears are thrown at you from the ground, and if a spear hits your rope while it is deployed, the rope will be severed! This normally isn’t a problem, but staying low and swinging from trees will increase the chances of being struck by a spear, and subsequently crashing down to the forest floor.
While the complexity of Rope Escape’s gameplay is minimal, the Deemedya team managed to add an upgrades interface to enhance your experience; this adds a “goal” for the players to reach 100% completion, with all upgrades. The upgrades are bought with the golden coins you pick up in the game, and they strengthen the pickups found in-game.
Rope Escape boasts four game modes, with the fourth game mode only accessible via IAP (in-app purchases): the normal game mode which is marked as “Play”, “Rope Limit,” “Time Attack”, and “Kids”. Rope Limit mode is a variation of normal gameplay, except you can only deploy your rope five times. Time Attack mode is also similar to normal gameplay, except you are only allotted thirty seconds to travel as far as possible while collecting as many coins as you can. Kids mode is an easier version of standard gameplay; you are given 10 “bouncebacks” (a force field around your character that protects you from falls), removes the spears that are thrown at you from the ground, and removes ads. For all intents and purposes, purchasing “Kids mode” for $1.99 is akin to purchasing the full version of Rope Escape.
If you are currently playing the fun adventure rope swinging game Rope Escape, you will soon realize that you need a lot of coins, rockets, and magnets to help you get through the various environments. It is important to remember that it costs real money if you want to get these items from the app store, and that gets expensive quick.
If you want to get coins, rockets, and magnets for free, you need to check out our hack tool, which we have made that gives you unlimited amounts of these items.
Check out the picture below, which shows you how easily the hack tool is to use, with a simple options menu that guides you on where you need to input the values of each item you want to add.
Simply download the free Rope Escape hack tool on our website, which should take about 30 seconds, and then you will notice it automatically installs. You then will need to select either iOS or Android depending on which device you are using to play the game. At that point, simply enter the amounts of coins, rockets, and magnets that you want to add to your account.
Press “Start” to begin the hack tool, which takes about 40 seconds to finish, and then just load Rope Escape as you typically would. The coins, rockets, and magnets are added on to your gaming account ready for you to use at that point. This hack tool lets you avoid having to ever pay for coins, rockets, and magnets in the game again.
As I mentioned before, Rope Escape is a fairly simple game, but there are enough traps and secrets hidden in the game to take even the most experienced gamers by surprise.
First and foremost, I’d like to broach the subject of the TNT trap blimps that the devs had the, *ahem*, great idea of adding to Rope Escape. If there was ever a pitfall in a game that had me stomping up and down, it would be these darningly-deceptive blimps that explode when you try to grapple onto them with your rope, which just send your ragdoll character flailing towards the ground at warp nine speed. Adding insult to injury, the same ground that breaks your fall also incidentally breaks your character into many separate pieces. As you might imagine, this probably isn’t quite the kind of thing you want when you’re 100m away from beating your high score. In summary: don’t swing onto the red blimps. Just don’t. (Fun fact: blimps will crash into trees and set aflame if you hang from them long enough; don’t worry, this won’t hurt your character)
Another important tip to keep in mind while playing Rope Escape is to continue upgrading. Since you can only beat high scores with the best power-ups available, you’ll simply stagnate if you spend all of your money on the initial rocket boosts (more on that in a moment). A good upgrade to select would be the Coin Magnet upgrade; this allows you to attract and collect coins without directly touching them. Since you can only buy upgrades with the golden coins you collect in the game, this upgrade would be a great first choice, and will ensure you collect coins with greater ease in the future.
Rope Escape gives you the option to purchase rockets that will immediately take effect as soon as you launch yourself from the catapult to start the game. You can choose to buy 3 different rockets with varying prices and strengths, ranging from 20 to 50 coins. This secret comes in handy, especially when you’re trying to beat your high score (or a friend’s for that matter)!
Having trouble roping objects in Rope Escape? You can cheat in the game by switching to the “alien planet” world. Not many players are aware of this, but you have a much smoother swing trajectory, and you fall to the ground at a much slower rate in this world; the devs did this to simulate a low-gravity landscape, but this actually works out to the informed player’s advantage. Keep this cheat in mind when playing Rope Escape if you want to achieve a high score worth bragging about.
As a final tip, try to determine the flight trajectory of the boulders launched from the ground when you’re riding them, and try to release your rope right before they hit their peak; this will prevent a mess-up that could potentially pull you closer to the ground, risking death by high-velocity dismemberment (yikes).
Rope Escape has been a rather interesting experience. I’m not sure whether it should be called a complete game, or if it is more of a “toy”; regardless of what Rope Escape actually is, I know that I’ve had fun playing it. The background and art reminds is reminiscent of the art style found in the Worms game series; it’s somewhat cartoon-like, with vivid colors and smooth, plastic-like surfaces. The music and sound effects of the game are repetitive, but not overly obnoxious. The gameplay mechanics are well-polished, and I haven’t witnessed any mess-ups with the physics in the game so far; if anything, Rope Escape exceeded my expectations in terms of realistic mechanics. The boulders that are flung into the air will collide in some cases, and instead of floating through one another, the rocks will bounce away from each other.
Overall, Rope Escape doesn’t quite stand out from the crowd of other rope-swinging games, but it is an interesting take on the genre nonetheless; Rope escape is a solid pick-up-and-play game, especially considering the non-existent price tag.
Artwork- The style of art in Rope Escape is fun and pleasing to the eye, but it really isn’t anything particularly special. The artwork deserves a 7/10
Music/SFX- Rope Escape has a fairly good soundtrack with decent SFX, especially on the alien planet. This isn’t Rope Escape’s strong point, but I think the creators did a decent job with it. Music and SFX gets a 7.5/10.
Story/Originality- To be quite frank, there isn’t much originality within Rope Escape, apart from the scenery and music. This isn’t necessarily a terrible thing, however, as Rope escape is still fun without bringing new ideas to the table. Story and Originality gets a 6/10
General Gameplay- Rope Escape is a very engaging app, and it can even be somewhat suspenseful when you’re nearing an all-time high score. The game mechanics are good, and the app runs without any lag or crashes; general gameplay deserves an 8/10
Addictiveness- This is where Rope Escape really takes the cake. I’ve found myself pressing “play again” many times, even after telling myself that I only had time for one more…. Just one more game, and then I’m done…. The addictiveness deserves a rating of 9/10.
Overall, Rope Escape is definitely worth a shot, and I recommend downloading it for those times when you have nothing else to do. I think Rope Escape deserves a total rating of 7.5/10.
