While the graphics are extremely high quality, which is expected from Animoca because they always deliver such high quality graphics, the background music and sound effects does sound familiar to other Beauty Idol series and Star Girl series games. I appreciated how Star Girl: Beauty Queen had amazing graphics but I wished that the background music was different from what I was already used to and quite bored of, from their other series. For this reason, this affected the overall rating for Star Girl: Beauty Queen.
If you are a big fan of online virtual world games and role playing, I think that you should give Star Girl: Beauty Queen a try. If you are one to be attracted to high quality and beautiful graphics, then you won’t be disappointed with this game. Since this is a roleplaying game, a lot of the choices and options you choose are all up to you. No two avatars will look the same just like there are no two same person in real life. I like how vibrant and colorful the artwork is in Star Girl: Beauty Queen. The graphics in Star Girl: Beauty Queen really resembles the idea of what it is like being a star! If anyone has ever watched the show “America’s Next Top Model,” then you would notice slight similarities from that show and in this game, Star Girl: Beauty Queen.
Music & SFX: The music and SFX in Star Girl: Beauty Queen receives the overall rating of 9/10. I have given it a score of 9/10 because although the background music and sound effects sounds really nice, if you have played any of Animoca’s other games, such as the Beauty Idol series or other Star Girl series, you would notice the similarities in the rhythm and the beat.
Story & Originality: The story and originality in Star Girl: Beauty Queen receives the overall rating of 10/10. I give Star Girl: Beauty Queen a full rating because this is a role playing game, so they don’t really enforce a strong voice in the game. Everything is up to the player, the player chooses everything and his or her choices will determine the outcome of the game. If you don’t attend to all the jobs that are given to you in the game, your virtual character in Star Girl: Beauty Queen will have a low income and you can’t buy anything to start a trend and become a top star. All the choices you make affects yourself and you are responsible for your choices.
General Gameplay: The general gameplay for Star Girl: Beauty Queen receives the overall rating of 10/10. I was impressed by how smooth and how there was no lags in this game. I didn’t notice any visible bugs, and in the menu sections, it was short and to the point. You know where everything was so you didn’t have to dig through the menu. There was also no hidden menus, where you have to click on one part of the menu to open up another menu.
Addictiveness: The addictiveness of this game, Star Girl: Beauty Queen, receives the overall rating of 9/10. I really like how this game was up to the player to choose what they want to do and there was minimal guidance needed or required. However, once you reach a certain level in Star Girl: Beauty Queen, you will feel bored because you are doing the same thing over and over again. I wished that Star Girl: Beauty Queen updated the game more often so there was more new tasks and job offers in the game. I feel that with the lack of updates, a person will outgrow this game very fast because they will lose interest. For this reason, Star Girl: Beauty Queen receives the rating of 9/10.
The overall rating for Star Girl: Beauty Queen receives the score of 9.8/10! Star Girl: Beauty Queen has a near almost perfect rating but due to its lack of updates and the extremely similar background music and sound effects from Animoca’s previous games, there was several points taken off.
