Siegefall is a strategy game developed by Gameloft a company which is well-known for the majority of popular games on the market (Despicable Me, Asphalt 8, Spider-man Unlimited, Ice Age, The Oregon Trail and so on). The game has an average rating of 4 out of 5 on Google Play and 4 and a half stars on Apple’s App Store and it has been downloaded for less than a million times. Siegefall requires a 4.0 Android Version or, for Apple Devices, at least iOS 7.0. The game was presented at E3 and it has a large campaign in different countries.
In Siegefall you take the role of a small group of survivors that tries to get back their kingdom from an evil Queen and then conquer the world. The game is a classic strategy one but with peculiar additional content like Magic Cards. The game has an interesting story that takes the player’s attention from the dull boring waiting for stuff to finish building that is specific to base-builder games.
The game has 4 kinds of resources that can be obtained in-game and one premium resource called Gems which you can use for speeding up building or though up your defenses. The prices vary starting with $1.99 for a Pile of Gems (150) and up to $99.99 for a Wagon of Gems (11,250). Unfortunately there is no possibility of getting more than one Builder (even with gems) and in my opinion buying Gems at this moment is currently useless.
Siegefall does not require a sign-up but it is strongly recommended to ensure no data loss and for security purposes. You can sign-in with different accounts including Facebook, Google Plus or even GameCenter (which is Gameloft’s platform). The game is also available in 15 languages and has a Customer Care System that it is active and helpful.
If you are currently playing Siegefall, then you likely know that gems, gold, and wood are really important to help build structures and get all of your needed items. While you can get these items through the app store, they will end up costing real money, and this gets really expensive. If you would like to get the gems, gold, and wood without using real money, then you need to download our free Siegefall hack.
First, check out the picture to see just how easy the Siegefall hack is to use, and all you have to do is enter the amounts of each one you want on the options menu.
The first step is to download the free Siegefall hack tool, which is found right here on our website. Then, you wait 20 seconds while it automatically installs. You will need to choose either Android or iOS, and then just input the amounts of gold, gems, and wood that you would like to add to your account.
When you are ready, you can tap on “Start” to begin the hack tool, which takes no more than 30 seconds to complete. Afterward, just open up the game on your device as normal and you will find the items have already been added onto your account.
Don’t upgrade your Keep unless you previously constructed and upgraded all the buildings. A high-leveled Keep means high-leveled opponents.
Walls and gates are pretty powerful in Siegefall. Make sure you have this in mind when you are attacking or positioning your own walls.
If you get enough Food, you can summon new troops for the battle. Be careful though because every time you do that, the food requirement for the summoned troops will increase.
In Siegefall your Hero can be controlled but your troops can’t so approach the right strategy. Also, move him when he is targeted by the enemies because he may be strong but heroes die too.
Burn the Magic Cards if they are duplicates or if you don’t find them useful. There is no need for them to occupy space (unless there are some really good cards) and you receive a small amount of gold each time you burn a card.
Be careful with Damage Cards because they can hurt your own troops. Check the radius blast of the card before you send your people to a certain death.
Tar Pit Trap is an excellent trap. Place it in the front of the gate and make sure you have some towers or mortars that can attack that zone and enjoy the show.
Don’t forget about the Story Mode. Completing missions in Story Mode will bring you (besides Gems and additional resources) new Heroes.
Before starting to invade innocent players, a good idea would be to try different troops and magic cards combos on Story Mode. By doing so you will learn which combination of troops is synergized and which not.
If you tap and hold on your troops you can command them all as one and send them into one direction. This tip may come in handy.
It was about time for Gameloft to realase a strategy game given the fact that everybody does that since the popularity of Clash of Clans. Siegefall promises a unique experience in epic realms and passing through different medieval ages. According to the developers, the game is not only about building bases because it has a lot of extra content such as multiplayer implementation, challenges, side quests, a hero that can be controlled and a long complex story.
In my opinion the only thing that makes Siegefall a potentially good game is the implementation of Magic Cards which are something relatively original. Even though they still have to work on this because at the moment it is not that great. The Magic Cards are power-up cards that can be crafted and later used in combat. There are different cards – some of them will damage the enemy, some of them will heal you, some of them will do weird stuff that I didn’t completely understand. Other than that, Siegefall is the same as any lately strategy game: build and protect your base while attacking from time to time other players or story-related characters.
Talking about what I don’t like the game, I made a list. First of all, I hoped that in a game coming from Gameloft you will have the possibility to defend yourself which is not the case – you can’t even see the attack, you will just receive a battle report that will say whether you won or lost. Secondly, the fact that there is only one builder is practically ruining the game – you want to attract people not to scare them away. Finally, what I don’t like in particular is the fact that the troops need to be sent exactly on an enemy object or the command will be invalid. This probably rules out the clicking by mistake situation but makes the game look very artificial.
Overall, Siegefall is not the best strategy game out there but definitely neither the worst. It may have his fair share of fans but I don’t think at the moment it can compete with games like Clash of Clans.
Artwork: Siegefall receives 8 out of 10 for its artwork. The game looks modern and above average. The medieval theme the developers decided to go with is respected and everything is designed accordingly. The buildings are looking nice, the units are also designed how they should, the environment looks real and lively and overall Siegefall is gorgeous looking. Because of the Magic Cards there are a lot of animations involved but fortunately they are decent. What I don’t like about the artwork is the movement of troops which is not very natural and the way buildings collapse in battle mode – where does all the rubble go?
Music & SFX: The game gets 7 out of 10 for the music and the sound effects. The music is not that great and it feels repetitive. The sound effects are great and give the player a nice feeling. The voice acting is pretty amazing and you can easily see that they have put their time in attention into this aspect. The only reasons why Siegefall scored so low at this segment are the following: 1. When NPCs are talking with you there is also a wall of text on the screen that says other things and if the player is not paying attention to the NPC because he is reading every word will sound like funny mumbles. 2. Why nobody “love” the music in strategy games? The effects are nice, the voice acting is nice, why can’t the music be nice as well?
Story/Originality: I give the game 6 out 10 at this segment. As usual, Siegefall is just another title that tries to become the number one played strategy game in the world but gives nothing in return. The game has a decent story but it does not really add up and it will become boring very soon – after you defeat your rivals they will become your available heroes. In terms of originality, the game is looking just like a strategy game would. Except the Magic Cards implementation that I mentioned before, Siegefall does not bring anything new or at least bring the already overused clichés to perfection.
General Gameplay: Siegefall gets 6 out of 10 for its gameplay. The beginning tutorial is very thorough and I liked it but that can’t be enough. After you install the game you will have a 300 MB update so make sure you are using your Wi Fi because I was not. Siegefall is full of bugs, freezes and crashes and moves slowly and with lag on the majority of devices without knowing the real cause. There are tons of reports and user complaints on the game’s Facebook page and on app’s comment section. From what I’ve heard there are also some problems with buildings because at some point you need a certain amount of resources to upgrade your Keep and your storage room is not big enough for that amount of resources – it can possibly be a bug though. However, the game is newly released, the developers promised to repair all the bugs and after a few updates I may have to review Siegefall again – I honestly believe that the game will improve over time.
Addictiveness: I give the game 6 out of 10 for its addictiveness. Siegefall has the potential of becoming a very addictive game but just not yet. Like I mentioned for a few times already, I like the idea of Magic Cards and with a bit of work it can be a great addition for the game. The fact that there are daily bonuses is nice too but it does not really contribute to the addictiveness of Siegefall because every game does that these days. There are also implemented interesting ideas like challenges (which are basically resource-free battles where you can try different strategies) and there is also a multiplayer mode that usually makes a game more challenging. The game just needs time.
Overall, Siegefall gets a rating of 6.5 out of 10. At the moment, the game is looking good but nothing more.
