The graphics in Glow Hockey 2 are nice, and have the same glow effects and other special effects, just like in Glow Hockey. It is unfortunate that there are still not soundtracks in the game, which would have made the gameplay better in my opinion.

It is refreshing to see that Glow Hockey 2 does not have any playtime limitations implemented into it, which means that players can play Glow Hockey 2 whenever they want, and for however long they want. Many free-to-play mobile games have limitations such as energy bars, lives or timers, which really slow down the pace of the game, and is a turn off from the gameplay itself. Thankfully, this is not the case with Glow Hockey 2 and is a true arcade/sports game.

The only new “feature” in Glow Hockey 2 compared to Glow Hockey, is the fact that you can change the theme from black to white, which is basically nothing! It feels like the developers are simply trying to milk their games out, and try to make as much money as possible by tricking people.

The second negative aspect about Glow Hockey 2 is the fact that the game is littered with annoying advertisements. The worst part about the pop-up advertisements in Glow Hockey 2 is the fact that, if you accidently do tap on one of them, your game will minimalize itself and your browser will start up, taking you to the website of the advertiser. If the developers of Glow Hockey 2 want to keep their loyal players around, they should really look into placing advertisements in a less obstructive and annoying way.

Artwork: I give Glow Hockey 2 a 7/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Glow Hockey 2 are pretty decent, especially considering that it is a mobile game. Unfortunately, the graphics are exactly the same, just like in its prequel. I like the fact that there is a new theme, which brings in some diversion into the gameplay. The graphics still have glowing lights and special effects, which are nice and make you feel like you are playing against a friend in an arcade hall.

Music & SFX: I give Glow Hockey 2a 7/10 for its music and SFX. Glow Hockey 2 does not have any soundtracks implemented in it, not even main menu music, but luckily there are some sound effects, which really help to make the gameplay more entertaining. I can understand why the developers chose not to implement any soundtracks, because they could annoy players and put them out of their focus. The sound effects in Glow Hockey 2 range from your paddle hitting the puck and scoring goals. The sound effects are of high quality and match the overall graphics of the game, which is always nice to see.

Story & Originality: I give Glow Hockey 2 a 1/10 for its story and originality. There is literally nothing different about Glow Hockey 2, compared to its prequel called Glow Hockey. The only thing that is original about Glow Hockey 2 is the fact that you can select a single different theme, which basically turns the background from black to white. Other than that, the developers did not add anything new, and did not even change the main menu or options. I have played Glow Hockey before, reviewed it and I liked playing it, but seeing the developers trying to make more money by releasing exactly the same game, is very bad in my opinion. I would have at least expected some new features such as competitions, challenges or even an online multiplayer mode, but there are none to speak of. There is no story behind Glow Hockey 2, but an arcade/sports game like this does not really need one.

General Gameplay: I give Glow Hockey 2 a 7/10 for general gameplay. There is no tutorial at the beginning of Glow Hockey 2, but a game like this does not really need one in my opinion. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, but entertaining nonetheless. It is very unfortunate that there are many pop-up advertisements in Glow Hockey 2, which really is a huge turn off from the game itself. It is fortunate to see that the controls are responsive and changeable, and the user interface fits the overall theme of the game pretty well. I would have liked to see more features in Glow Hockey 2, which would definitely enhance the gameplay.

Addictiveness: I give Glow Hockey 2 a 6/10 for addictiveness. It is very unfortunate to see that the developers of Glow Hockey 2 have implemented a lot of very obstructive and annoying advertisements into the game. The advertisements show up at random times and come in the form of pop-ups. These are very obstructive to the gameplay and turns off players from the game itself. Fortunately, there are no playtime limitations in Glow Hockey 2, which means that you can play the game whenever you want, however long you want. I could see Glow Hockey 2 being more addictive, if there were more features implemented in it, such as online multiplayer or challenges. As of right now, Glow Hockey 2 nothing but a time-killer game, in my opinion.
