Battle scenes in DDTank are turn based, just like the popular Worms games on PC and other platforms.
When it is your turn, you can move your character around and take aim at the enemy units. However, the enemy units are usually located at a higher spot or at a difficult angle, which means that you will have to aim at a certain angle to be able to hit them. In order to win a battle, you will have to deplete the enemy units’ health points. Winning a battle will award you with in-game currencies, experience points and occasionally you will receive equipment.
Every character in DDTank has six different attributes and four different statistics. The six different attributes are called Offense, Defense, Agility, Luck, MATK and MRES. MATK stands for Magic Attack and MRES stands for Magic Resistance. The four statistics are called Harm, Shield, Health and Stamina. By constantly going into battles and gaining experience points, you will be able to level up and increase your character’s attributes and statistics. By doing so, your character will become much stronger, and you will be able to take on more powerful enemies.
In DDTank, it is important that you constantly upgrade your characters armor and equipment, just to be able to progress through the game. When it comes to your character’s appearance, you can change his or her Hat, Hair, Outfit, Glasses, Face, and Eyes and even equip accessories and whole sets of outfits. When it comes to your character’s weapons, you can equip a primary, secondary and other weapon. You can then use those weapons during a battle. You can even give your character extra powers by equipping rings and bracelets.
There are a couple of different game modes in DDTank. For starters, you can accept regular quests and complete them in order to earn in-game currencies and experience points. Quests in DDTank usually have a short story in them, and entail that you have to take down enemy units.
The next game mode is called Arena, in which you can create a chamber and battle against other random players around the world. You will usually have to wait for a little while to get matched against a player around your own level, after which you will have to fight against him or her, just like in regular quests. Successfully defeating your opponent during a battle will earn you Glory points. By collecting a lot of Glory points, you will be able to battle against more powerful and higher-level opponents and earn better rewards.

DDTank has four different currencies in it. The first currency is simply called Coins, which is the main currency in DDTank. The only way to obtain Coins in DDTank is by charging. The most important aspects in DDTank are battles, which means that you will need to learn and know how to properly fight against enemy units. Before you launch an attack, you can change the angle by pressing the Up and Down arrow buttons on your keyboard. Before I started playing DDTank, I imagined that it would be another one of those World of Tanks copies. Fortunately, I was mistaking, because DDTank does not have anything to do with tanks at all. The gameplay is a mixture between Worms and MapleStory, has very nice anime graphics and special effects, and a very entertaining story.
I really like the fact that there is a tutorial at the beginning of the gameplay, which allows you to get used to the controls, learn how to aim and launch attacks and how to properly play the game. During the tutorial, you will also learn about the different game modes and features of the game, which is very nice because they can be a bit overwhelming at the beginning.
A very positive aspect about DDTank is that the developers did not implement any kind of advertisements into the game itself. Browser games are notoriously known for having a lot of annoying and obstructive advertisements, be it in the form of banners or pop-ups. Luckily, the developers of DDTank did not want anything to do with this and kept their game clean of annoying and obstructive advertisements, which makes the game more entertaining to play.
Another very positive aspect about DDTank is that you are not required to download any kind of programs or files, just to be able to play the game. All you have to do is start up your browser, go to the DDTank website, create an account, create a character and start playing the game. Many browser games first make you download a small program, which then needs to download and install a lot of files. This simply takes too long and is very annoying in my opinion.
Even though DDTank is a pretty decent and balanced browser game, it also has several negative aspects. For starters, it takes way too long to level up your character. At the beginning of the gameplay in DDTank, you are only able to take on very easy enemy units, which means that it will take long for you to gain enough experience points to level up.
After you pass from easy to normal quests and battles, you will notice that the game becomes significantly more difficult, which is another negative aspect. You are not able to prepare for the difficulty change in the game, which means that you will most likely lose a lot of battles and fail to complete a lot of quests.
The last negative aspect about DDTank is that not a lot of people are playing the game anymore, which means that the game is usually a ghost town. In order to create chambers and fight against other random players around the world, there will have to be enough players online already, or else you are going to have to wait for a very long time for a match.
The developers of DDTank could perhaps implement some reward systems or special events, which would perhaps bring back old DDTank players. The developers could also spend some money on advertising the game itself, which would bring in an influx of new players.

Artwork: I give DDTank an 8/10 for its artwork. I really like the graphics in DDTank, especially because they are anime-like and of decent quality. There are a lot of different environments, character designs, enemy units, equipment, weapons and much more. This shows me that the developers of DDTank has spent a lot of time on developing and designing the game, which is very much appreciated by a lot of players.
Music & SFX: I give DDTank an 8/10 for its music and SFX. There are a lot of different soundtracks and sound effects in DDTank, which are of decent quality as well. There are different soundtracks in different cut scenes and stages, which makes the gameplay more entertaining and thrilling. The sound effects in DDTank range from thunder SFX to anime-like screaming SFX, and really fit the overall theme of the game.
Story & Originality: I give DDTank a 7/10 for its story and originality. Even though I have never played a game like DDTank in my life, I still saw a lot of similarities in the gameplay itself. The graphics of the game look just like the graphics in MapleStory. Even the damage numbers are very similar to that of MapleStory. DDTank does have a nice backstory, which makes the gameplay more entertaining and original.
General Gameplay: I give DDTank an 8/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in DDTank starts with a nicely build tutorial, which teaches you how to properly play the game. Once you have played the game for a while, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward, but still very entertaining due to all the different game modes and quests. The controls are smooth and responsive and the user interface fits with the overall theme of the game.
Addictiveness: I give DDTank a 7/10 for addictiveness. I couldn’t say that I would play DDTank several hours a day, but I could certainly see why people might get addicted to the gameplay. The game features anime-like graphics, has a ton of quests and features, is multiplayer and most importantly of all, it is free to play.
All things considered, I give DDTank an 8/10.
