It made the game very easy to be enjoyed because you cannot easily mistake one of your enemies as your own when they are trying to sneak into your kingdom.
The concept of the game was also really entertaining and while it was not historically correct, the events, how people conquered and received territories was very similar! By learning the war tactics and how to fight strategically, this strengthens a lot of young people’s mind and teaches them how to think at a young age. March of Empires is a game that is suitable for children to start playing at the young age of 10 years old.
In March of Empires, one of my favorite features was the distinctive differences between the three different factions. I like how they assigned different colors to each of the factions: Highland King, Northern Czar, or Desert Sultan. Besides the different colors to represent each of the three factions, they also have unique personalities and a history and story behind each one. I really enjoyed learning and uncovering the hidden mysteries of each faction.
While when you initially start March of Empires, you have to choose one faction, after you finish the game you can choose a different faction! You will soon see both sides of each faction, the hero and the loser’s side. I think that by seeing the two sides of every faction, it will help every player maximize their tactics and strategies much better the second time around!
Although I very much liked March of Empires game strategies and tactics, I agree with many of the complaints that was written on the Google Play Store. March of Empires has a very high rating for a mobile game, however, its large game size makes it unbearable because it takes up just too much space. I am not sure if it is because every time they update, they just add things into the game and do not delete the bugs or unnecessary things, but the game takes 504mb of space to be installed.
A second complaint for March of Empires would be the chat function. Although there is a chat function in March of Empires, it is like it never existed at all. This is because the chat function is quite useless, it is late in sending the messages as well as always disconnecting your chat or etc. The chat becomes very unimportant and also it seems like March of Empires would be better without this function at all.
In general, I would suggest March of Empires if you have a new device or and if you have spare space on your mobile device. I would also suggest March of Empires to you if you like strategy and history games, because in March of Empires some of it is similar to a dystopian story plot. If you have ever read “The Hunger Games” or “Divergent” series, March of Empires seems to be based off of the same concept. So now, instead of reading the story plot, you are actually playing and choosing what to do in order to strive.

Music & SFX: The music and SFX category of March of Empires receives the overall rating of 10/10. I really enjoyed listening to the background music as well as the in game music. It all fitted well with the story line and shaped the game’s tone very well. I think that the music had an equal or even a bigger impact than March of Empires artwork. The SFX was also very pleasant to the ear and the special effects wasn’t similar or ever heard from in any other similar genre games. March of Empires music and SFX are both one of a kind and is worth everyone’s attention.
Story & Originality: The story and originality section for March of Empires receives the overall rating of 10/10. I would like to say that March of Empires isn’t a dystopian game, but more of the reverse. It is based upon the past and it talks about ‘the what if’s’ and uses past rulers as a game role model for each faction. I enjoyed playing March of Empires due to its one of a kind storyline as well as the originality that came from it! Like I mentioned earlier, if you are a big fan of dystopian novels and series, such as ‘The Hunger Games’ and the ‘Divergent’ series, then you are in for a big treat with March of Empires!
General Gameplay: The general gameplay for March of Empires receives the rating of 8/10. While the artwork, the story and originality, as well as the music and SFX was, the one thing that didn’t fit in was the chat function. Many users have complained and complained about the bugs and how it doesn’t work in March of Empires. However, Gameloft has never replied or fixed any of those problems. It makes it quite hard to enjoy the game when one of its biggest functions doesn’t work. Without the chat, it makes it quite hard to share and exchange tactics and strategies.
