Cheats & Tips for SAS Zombie Assault 4

  • The Heavy class is specific for aggressive players who want to be in the first line while killing zombies.

  • The Medic class is specific for players who like to support. If you want to play this class, you can’t play all the single player campaign by yourself.
  • The Assault class is specific for balanced players who want a bit of both – attack and defense.
  • No matter what class you choose, always pick a melee skill. It will save your life in a lot of situations.
  • Before the zombies are breaking in, you have more than enough time to create some paths and barricades using the boxes around the base. You can lead the zombies to traps or to dead ends. Or you can use them to make an escape route, your call.

  • In the missions where you are required to do anything but defend a position, you must be aware of your next objective (follow the small blue lines from the radar) and you must always move. If the zombies pinpoint you to a location you are dead meat.
  • There are 4 skills worth upgrading: Fast Movement – the faster you run the higher the chance for your survival are, Fast Reload – doesn’t need a description, Critical Shoot – normally, this wouldn’t be a required skill but there are only a few skills that alter your damage and this is one of them, Body Armor Expert – the zombies bite really hard.
  • In order to see if your weapon is decent enough you need to multiply the damage with the rate of fire. The higher the resulted number, the better the weapon.
  • Before you start to get some really decent armor (Level 20+) you can basically ignore it or its values. They matter too little.
  • Try to get gear with augmented slots. You can fill those slots with stuff that can increase your stats, your health, your skills or your damage output.

SAS: Zombie Assault 4 Review

There is a time in a person’s life when action games about zombies aren’t than entertaining anymore. If you don’t agree with this statement, clearly, you haven’t played enough and you should be happy about this. SAS Zombie Assault 4 has the potential to be an interesting action game but as I already mentioned before and will probably mention it again, there are way too many similar titles.

Fortunately there are several elements that I like about SAS Zombie Assault 4. The thing I like the most is the rather surprisingly good skill tree. There are three distinct classes you can choose from and each of it has a unique skill tree. In addition to this, there are skill trees for general abilities and also a very various inventory starting from different weapons and going up to different pieces of equipment. Thanks to all of this, the character progression of the game is really thorough.

Secondly, I like the fact that the game has some multiplayer events. It is a fresh idea that helps with the repetition problem this kind of games usually have. Because of this feature, SAS Zombie Assault 4 looks different comparing with the hundreds other similar titles and that’s a good thing. Finally, I believe that the developers dealt nicely with the game’s menu. It looks neat and anything but vague. The design of the buttons is interesting and I think that it somehow provides a creepy atmosphere which is perfect for a zombie action game.

There are also some things I don’t really like about SAS: Zombie Assault 4 as well. The most annoying thing, in my opinion, is the aim mode. It is connected with your movement and even though you would expect to shoot the way you walk, that’s not the case. You will have a hard time getting used to it and after several hours I still struggle to aim as good as I would want. This issue should be fixed as soon as possible. Moreover, I believe that the game is a bit too difficult at the beginning for a person who never played this genre before. A more gradually increased difficulty would have helped a lot in my opinion. Another thing I find unpleasant is the fact that you can buy grenades right in the middle of the game. It is too unrealistic even for an action futuristic zombie game.

Overall, SAS Zombie Assault 4 is a game that I would recommend but only for the fans. There isn’t anything new or unseen about the game for 2016 and it is not that user friendly that I would have hoped for.

Ratings

Artwork: SAS Zombie Assault 4 gets a rating of 7 out of 10. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed by the game’s graphics but that’s only because the menus are deceptive. After I created my character and checked some options I was prepared for a realistic first person shooter – and that was not the case. The theme is dark but cartoonish and the camera is up in the sky. The design of the characters is almost non-existent and the environment is not looking great either. The animations effects are boring and they feel rather old than interesting. I expected much more from SAS Zombie Assault at this “department”.

Music & SFX: I give the game a rating of 8 out of 10 at this section. SAS Zombie Assault 4 is a surprising title from this point of view. I wasn’t really expecting to like the music but it fits the game’s theme and it creates an interesting atmosphere. Moreover, the sound effects are various and overall, above average. It was unusual to have such a good SFX segment given the fact that the visuals are not that great. There is a small issue though with the music – from time to time it stops working during a “playthrough” and it doesn’t come back until the next time you start the game.

Story/Originality: SAS Zombie Assault 4 gets a rating of 7 out of 10 at this section. Normally, I would have just complained about the lack of imagination that is present in action games lately. There are always zombies and people who are trying to survive a plague of some sort. At least, in SAS Zombie Assault 4, you fight with zombies on some spaceships of some sort. As I mentioned before, that is something…new. The game has some sort of a story and there are a few references to the previous titles but there is a long way until you can call the game authentic.

General Gameplay: I give SAS Zombie Assault a rating of 7 out of 10 for its gameplay. I don’t know about you guys but I really hate how the aim works in this game. I tried to change the options and the sensitivity but nothing seems to work properly. You don’t have a properly tutorial at the beginning but that’s not a problem because the game is pretty straight forward. There are some elements of character progression and items that you can buy and use but there isn’t anything too overwhelming for a newcomer. For the time I’ve played I haven’t encountered any bugs, freezes or crashes.

Addictiveness: The game gets a rating of 8 out of 10. It was surprising for me either, but even though the game doesn’t excel in any way, it is in fact pretty addictive. You have a multiplayer implementation which is not one of the best but it is good enough, there are enough different missions and tasks to make the game not to feel repetitive, the character progression has a long skill tree and the items you can get are various and interesting. Adding to this the fact that there is a daily reward option you can definitely say that SAS Zombie Assault 4 is an addictive game. There are a few things that need to be fixed or updated but it won’t be a surprise if the game will get its solid fan base.

Overall, SAS Zombie Assault 4 gets a rating of 7.4 out of 10. If you like zombies, shooters and the combination of this two elements you will most likely appreciate the game as well. There aren’t any things that are really good about it but SAS Zombie Assault 4 is a nice game nevertheless.
