Activision is staying on top of the hype for Fast and Furious 6 by putting out a high tension, action-packed racing video game. Fast and Furious Showdown is driving onto all the gaming consoles that matter, plus it’s coming out on May 21, 2013 for the low price of $39.99. Here’s five facts facts you need to know about this somewhat unknown racer.
This 3D racer won’t follow the storyline for the latest film; it will instead focus on the plots of the earlier films in the series. This game’s plot offers a story arc that connects the events of the fifth feature film from 2011 and the upcoming sixth release. The game will offer racing, as well as action segments that involve shooting from the passenger’s seat of a moving vehicle. Players will also be able to customize their vehicles. Fast and Furious Showdown will release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. The portable 3DS version will play and look much differently from its bigger console counterparts.
Two players will be able to tackle the game’s 31 missions. As for those who prefer single-player, an A.I.-controlled partner will aid you during the game’s wild skirmishes. A Challenge Mode allow’s players to beat other online players’ high scores for each mission.
Unfortunately, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker won’t reprise their on-screen roles for the video game version of the movie series they’re most known for.
There are 50 in-game goals that players can achieve through the Trophies/Achievements system. Xbox 360 Achievements posted up the full list of achievements being served up for this high-octane racing game.
