After being attacked by tens of players in the past 24 hours, and after attacking twice as more, I am ready to share with all the new Toy Rush players out there the top 10 tips for beginners. I know that we’ve already shared some generic Toy Rush tips and tricks, but now it’s time to go a bit more in depth and focus on various stages of development in the game. And since everybody starts out from scratch and you might just be one of those players, I really hope that our Top 10 Toy Rush tips for beginners will help you out a lot to build up that base you’ll love (and enemies will hate to attack!)
1. Start with the single player missions. You need to get the hang of the basics and the first 5-6 single player missions are good enough to get you started. You’ll learn how things work with the game and you’ll earn valuable tickets to spend on card packs. If you go straight to multiplayer, you will earn less tickets and you will have to spend more cards. So go single player first – the missions have rewards that are created to help you build up your base and attack force, so they are really really useful!
2. Consume all tickets before a single player mission. Normally, you won’t have room for more than 300 tickets and that’s the exact amount that you get from completing a single player mission in Toy Rush. So Purchase 4 packs of cards before going into battle to make sure that you waste no tickets.
3. Use as few cards as possible per each battle. Do a “flood attack” first with 4-5 cards and if they don’t seem to make it, launch one or two more. The idea is to get at least one monster past the towers – it’s your game from that moment on and it’s no need to have a ton of monsters there – it’s just a waste of cards and tickets. And trust me, you will need as many as possible in the near future! Don’t forget to also send your super toy into battle every time you can.
4. Use a XP boost. I know that spending caps isn’t the best advice since they are hard to get, but your goal is to get to level 10 as fast as possible and you get a lot of experience from various things early on in the game. So get the 3 day XP boost to get double XP points from everything: once you’re at level 10, you unlock the best card packs for purchase, you can upgrade your structures on your base to decent levels and you and you have some cool cards to use!
5. Upgrade your Super Toy. It’s extremely useful and in some situations, it will be the card you’ll send to win a battle. You upgrade the Super Toy by feeding it with cards, and it’s a perfect idea to feed it with decorations since they offer a ton of XP points and you can’t use those in battle. Take your time, win decoration cards in battles and feed as many as possible to your monster. It’s a useful beast!
6. Buy a Tower Pack
You need as many Towers as possible early on to improve your defenses, so you should spend some more caps – but this time for purchasing a Tower Pack. It’s a lot of caps (800, actually) but you will be happy that you purchased them. With the second occasion (when you have enough caps), get your second Tower Pack and you’re all set!
7. Upgrade Towers and Buildings
Finding the right order to upgrade your buildings is vital. Therefore, I would suggest using the upgrade cards on the Piggy Bank first, since you want to be able to hold as much loot as possible. Then get to the Towers – you want them strong and ready to take out all the incoming forces. Also add traps (like bubble gum or Jacks) to make it more difficult for enemies to get to your base.
8. How to build the best defense for your base
When you get your Command Center to level three, you have enough space to create a long road and surround it with Towers. I opted to put the towers in the middle and the roan around them for the greatest distance and it works pretty well. The thing is that you want as many towers attacking as many toys as possible at once. You can also place a “decoy” – an unneeded building, such as the house of your super toy right in front of the exit from the defense area, and troops will spend some time trying to attack it. If you still have towers left and the enemy is in their range, they will continue to shoot giving you one extra chance to end up victorious.
9. Multiplayer is your source of tickets
After completing the first 10 missions in the game, the single player missions will become a bit more difficult for your low level, so it might be a good idea to switch to multiplayer battles. You can find some really easy to beat bases out there and you will gain quite some rewards from them. Focus on multiplayer for a while, making sure that you don’t overspend when you attack.
10. Tap the sleeping workers on your base
You will notice that every now and then there will be workers sleeping on your base. Tap them and you will earn free tickets or even caps. Freebies are always welcome!
So these would be our top 10 tips and tricks for Toy Rush beginner players. I really hope that you found them useful – and if you did, make sure to check back soon as we will have more Toy Rush guides for you!
