Bonsai Slice Cheats: Tips and Strategy Guide to Keep on Slicing!

Do you remember all the craze that surrounded Fruit Ninja when it was first launched? Well, all the craze will probably go now towards Bonsai Slice, a brand new slicing game with a lot of twists. But we’re not here to praise this amazing game, we’re here to talk about some Bonsai Slice cheats and especially tips and tricks that will help you become the best slicer in the world and rule the multiplayer games and leaderboards. Or at least slice trying.

So let’s not waste any time and let’s begin our strategy guide with some Bonsai Slice tips and tricks!

1. Get a better sword
You don’t need to purchase all swords, you can go straight for the Pixelblade first (which only costs 1,000 coins and you will probably be able to buy it after just a few games). Then go for the 5,000 coins sword Multus Karate Chop as it gives you 5 extra seconds, or if you have the patience, just wait for the much better Golden Sword of Gold which doubles the coins you earn (although you only get 60 seconds of play time, it’s still great). Finally, go for the 15,000 coins sword, the best there is right now in the game and the one that again slices in every direction.

2. Play single player first
Multiplayer is extremely fun in Bonsai Slice, but you don’t win as many coins as in single player – as only the winner in multiplayer gets a huge boost of coins. So play alone for a while until you get the hang of the game and you learn how to slice each round (as they will be nearly identical). Only when you’re confident and you have a good sword start a multiplayer game (Join or create one) and do your best to win.

3. Learn to slice in 4 directions
For a long time, the only way I was slicing was up/down. However, there are multiple ways you can slice – sideways and diagonal too. It’s very difficult to master slicing in all directions, but practice until you can do it, otherwise it will be pretty difficult to get a huge score.

4. Look at the numbers on the bombs
If the bombs have numbers on them, it shows the order in which they will turn into goodies for you to slice. In most occasions, they are arranged in such a way that you can get combos. So if you have bombs 2, 3 and 4 in a vertical line, you can safely slide downwards without worrying that a bomb will explode. You’ll also get the combo bonus!

5. Move the sword away
After clearing a set of goodies, don’t keep your sword close to the area where new items will appear from as you risk hitting a bomb without knowing. As soon as you’re done with the set, either move your sword to the sides or all the way up.

6. Better on an iPhone
Here at Touch Tap Play, we test our games on both an iPhone and iPad, and in Bonsai Slice’s case, it seems that it’s a lot easier to play it on an iPhone. So if you have the possibility to choose, go with Apple’s smaller device. The iPad becomes heavy and more difficult to handle after several games.

7. Master the moving sets
I’ve had the most difficult time learning how to handle those rotating bombs that you’ll get to eventually. They are annoying as you need great precision to take them out. The trick here is to be patient like a ninja and strike just as fast: your slices should be quick and sudden. Hit your item and get back to the original position. Rinse and repeat. Wax on, wax off!

8. Be the ninja
As silly as it might sound (and look if you are in a public place), I realized that I am a lot better when playing the game if I stand up. Try to mentally visualize your device as a sword and don’t be afraid of ample movements. That’s the way to do it and especially if you’re playing with friends, it will be a lot more fun. Just give it a try!

And this would be it for our Bonsai Slice tips and tricks. We weren’t able to find any regular cheats, but until we do, we really hope that these tips will help you get a better score.
